The Wonder Festival (commonly abbreviated as WF), held in Tokyo, Japan, is the country’s largest and most professional exhibition dedicated to figurines and model kits. Organized by the long-established Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka), “Wonder Festival” is recognized as the world’s largest event of its kind, showcasing a wide array of sculpted figures and models.
Held twice annually—once in winter and once in summer—the festival was originally founded in 1984 by GENERA PRODUCTS, the predecessor of GAINAX, before being taken over by Kaiyodo in 1992. It has since evolved into a premier gathering for enthusiasts of figurines and model kits, offering an unparalleled experience tailored to this passionate community. The Tokyo Wonder Festival promises attendees a rich visual feast.
At the Wonder Festival, visitors can also explore a wide range of related merchandise. The artist, known for creating manga-style illustrations featuring characters with a “cool yet cute” aesthetic, works extensively in manga, book illustration, and character design. They are actively engaged in live‑drawing sessions and art exhibitions, having presented numerous solo shows both in Japan and overseas.
