Xiamen Industrial Exhibition – Xiamen International Industry Fair

The 2025 Xiamen Industrial Expo and the 29th Cross-Strait Machinery and Electronics Products Fair were successfully held from May 9 to 12, 2025, at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This edition of the expo was themed “New‑Type Productive Forces and New‑Type Industrialization,” co‑organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, and other institutions, and stood as the largest industrial exchange event across the Taiwan Strait.

In terms of scale, the expo covered an exhibition area of 76,000 square meters, featuring approximately 3,200 standard booths, and brought together 839 exhibiting companies from more than ten countries and regions, including Germany, the United States, Japan, and Indonesia, showcasing thousands of renowned domestic and international brands. The event attracted a total of 106,374 professional visitors, with signed contracts and letters of intent totaling over RMB 700 million, and media exposure reaching 198 million impressions.

This year’s expo featured numerous highlights, with world‑first product launches and cutting‑edge technologies serving as the centerpiece of the show. XCMG unveiled the world’s first methanol‑powered loader, XCMG Heavy Machinery introduced the world’s first unmanned (dual‑mode) intelligent transport vehicle capable of carrying 120 tons, China Construction First Bureau presented its pioneering walking‑type traveling device, and China Railway Fourteenth Bureau showcased the “Xiajin” tunnel boring machine deployed on the Xiajin Bridge—among many other debut products. Meanwhile, Tongshida launched its new national‑standard DC charging pile, Jingyan debuted its innovative horizontal‑arm robot, Jiatay Laser introduced its Fengshen series, and Suzhou Haiter unveiled its expandable embedded industrial PC—all representing groundbreaking innovations. The New Energy Industry Expo also established a dedicated zone for Xiamen’s emerging energy storage and hydrogen technologies, bringing together leading local enterprises such as Haichen Energy Storage, Kehua Digital Energy, Jiageng Innovation Lab, and Luda Hydrogen.

A rich array of concurrent events further elevated the platform for high‑level industry dialogue. During the expo, 21 specialized forums and industry matchmaking sessions were held, addressing前沿 topics such as green and low‑carbon development, smart construction, and artificial intelligence. The 2025 Cross‑Strait Industrial Forum, themed “Empowering with AI: Reshaping the Landscape of New‑Type Industrialization,” gathered experts, scholars, and corporate representatives from both sides of the Strait. Liang Binxian, Honorary Chairman of the Taiwan IoT Association, noted that innovative applications and technological breakthroughs in the field of AI are forging new bonds of cooperation between the two sides.

The professional visitor base was exceptionally strong, with an unprecedented level of international participation. The expo invited 320 professional trade association purchasing delegations and conducted one‑on‑one targeted invitations to 2,600 key procurement enterprises. Additionally, buyers from 33 countries and regions—including Colombia, Egypt, Yemen, Russia, Spain, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, and India—were specially invited to attend and engage in focused matchmaking activities. Throughout the event, a series of cross‑border initiatives were organized, such as the China (Fujian) Green and Low‑Carbon Products Procurement Matchmaking Meeting, the Indonesia Industrial Supply‑Demand Matching Event, and the High‑End Equipment Manufacturing Industry Chain Supply‑Demand Matchmaking Activity. At the latter, 14 projects secured on‑site contracts, with intended transaction values totaling RMB 535 million.

The expo yielded significant results and received enthusiastic responses from the industry. Companies such as Bond Laser, Yanshen CNC, and Donggang Precision Machinery clinched on‑site purchase orders and letters of intent. Exhibiting firms generally reported that this year’s event attracted high‑quality professional visitors with clear purchasing objectives, resulting in highly effective on‑site matchmaking. Attendees agreed that the Xiamen Industrial Expo is not only an outstanding platform for brand promotion and business networking but also a critical hub for gaining insights into industry trends and exploring pathways toward intelligent manufacturing transformation.

The 30th Xiamen Industrial Expo and the 30th Cross‑Strait Machinery and Electronics Products Fair are scheduled to take place from April 9 to 12, 2026, at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event is expected to feature an exhibition area exceeding 100,000 square meters, with over 1,000 exhibiting companies, showcasing more than 10,000 smart devices, and hosting over 20 engaging activities, continuing to provide an efficient platform for global industrial exchange and collaboration.
