Acmemills, a US-based innovative nonwovens producer, has announced the launch of the Natura nonwovens product line. This is a compostable and flushable substrate for wipes, providing a sustainable solution to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly personal hygiene products.

In response to the urgent need to address issues caused by non-flushable wipes in municipal water systems, Acmemills has invested in new advanced equipment to increase the production capacity of Natura nonwovens. By introducing water jet Natura nonwoven production lines with widths of 2.4m and 3.5m, Acmemills can meet the increasing demand for flushable wipes while maintaining high-quality standards.

Natura nonwovens are made from 100% natural bamboo fiber, ensuring sustainability.

Due to recent regulations in California, USA, and Europe targeting the post-use handling of plastic-based personal hygiene wipes, there is an increased urgency for flushable products. These regulations aim to minimize the impact on wastewater treatment systems. The innovative solution provided by Natura nonwovens directly addresses these issues, offering flushable wipes that are compatible with municipal water systems, thereby alleviating infrastructure pressure and minimizing environmental damage risks.
