The University of Bergamo is located in the city center. Today, it is a dispersed campus that serves as a "cultural pillar" between the entire town and the province. The historical center of the upper district houses the Faculty of Humanities, which features a variety of structures (Arrogante, Pignolo, Rosate, Salviati, San Secondo). The Sant’Ambrogio district in the lower town is the cultural hub of the economic and legal campus, as well as the Antonio TiraBoschi Civic Library.
