Rio Negro Airport

Rionegro Airport in Colombia is the second largest airport in Colombia (second only to El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá), located in Rionegro, serving as the main international airport for Medellín and its surrounding areas, including the airport runway and terminal.

Unlike Olaya Herrera Airport in the city, which serves domestic flights only, José María Córdova International Airport serves both international and domestic flights. The airport is named after a Colombian general. The runway is also shared with a nearby military base, where you can see military and National Police aircraft taking off and landing.
