The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in Gothenburg has a total area of 145000 square meters, with 41000 square meters (approximately 440000 square feet) dedicated to exhibitions and conferences. It hosts around 30 events annually.

Located in the Scania region of Sweden, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre is the largest gathering point in the Scandinavian region. It attracts approximately 1800000 visitors each year. It is Europe's largest fully integrated hotel and exhibition conference facility, operated by a non-profit foundation, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Foundation. One-third of the center was built between 2011-2014, located at the heart of the venue, ranking among the five largest towers in Europe with over 1200 rooms. The third tower is the tallest building in Gothenburg (at 100 meters or 330 feet), making it the fourth tallest in Sweden. In the early twentieth century, various Swedish companies organized exhibitions to promote Swedish industry. This led to the idea of a conference center, which officially opened as the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre in August 1918. In the 1970s, courses and meetings began to be organized, leading to the construction of facilities for meetings and congresses. The center comprises nine exhibition halls, 60 meeting rooms (accommodating from 2 to 8800 guests), a congress hall for 1500 people, eight restaurants, five bars, and Scandinavia's largest hotel, the Hotel Gothia Towers.
