Paris Event Center La Villette
The Paris La Villette Event Center is located in Paris, France. The total area of the center is 16250 square meters, suitable for conferences, exhibitions, events, performances, etc. Among them, there are 1200 square meters of offices and meeting rooms. Adjacent to the conference center are shops, office buildings, such as FNAC (a media and electronics retailer with outlets throughout France), the campus of HEC Executive Education, and the Hilton Hotel. The building was designed and constructed by architect Robert Collet between May 8, 1956, and 1958. During construction, a sculpture named "Defender of Paris" was created by sculptor Louis Ernest Barrias, who was situated between Puteaux and Courbevoie cities on a natural hill. Originally built in 1883, this statue has now been relocated to the West Plaza of the Defense. Charles de Gaulle attended the opening ceremony of the conference center on September 12, 1958, when it was completed.
