GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE BROWARD COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER
The Broward County Convention Center is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is one of the premier waterfront convention facilities in the United States. With a floor area of 66,000 square meters, it is managed by SMG and hosts over 5 million people and 5,500 meetings. Opened in 1991, its flexible meeting space consists of four exhibition halls, two ballrooms, and 31 meeting rooms that can be configured in various ways to meet the needs of any group. The size and layout of the convention center enable it to host a large event or multiple smaller events simultaneously. The multi-functional facility is designed to provide the perfect space for conferences, trade exhibitions, meetings, and other events.
Taking full advantage of its location, the Broward County Convention Center is situated on 17 acres of land adjacent to Fort Lauderdale's valuable near-shore waterways. A 2,500-car parking garage is connected to the center via two enclosed air-conditioned skywalks. The building is five minutes from the airport, within walking distance of many local hotels, and less than a mile from Fort Lauderdale's famous Blue Wave Beach. With its pleasant climate year-round, Fort Lauderdale is an ideal location for your next conference, meeting, trade show, or event. The Broward County Convention Center/Fort Lauderdale is the first convention center in Florida to achieve LEED certification and the third in the nation to receive LEED Gold certification for an existing building. From water conservation to energy-efficient lighting and recycling, the convention center embodies a sustainable development model that is energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and carbon-neutral.
