Edmonton is a vibrant city where people are enthusiastic about outdoor activities, undeterred by blizzards, making it a shopper's paradise. The West Edmonton Mall is comparable to a small city, and the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market lives up to its reputation. Edmontonians love winter, and frozen paths are perfect for skating. People build ice castles using icicles and experience dog sledding with locals. In winter, they train their pets to pull sleds.
