NAS Oceana, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA, is a military airport and a major jet aircraft base of the United States Navy. It is also known as Apollo Soucek Field, named after Captain Apollo Soucek (later promoted to Admiral), who was a naval test pilot and set a world record in 1930 by flying a biplane aluminum "Eagle" aircraft to an altitude of 13,157 meters.
