Gansu International conference & exhibition center

Gansu International Convention Center is located in the central section of the Yellow River Embankment in Lanzhou City, and it was the No.1 key project of Gansu Province in 2007. Since its inception, the project has received high attention from the provincial party committee and provincial government, the municipal party committee and municipal government, and strong public concern. The project consists of three parts: exhibition center, grand theater combined with conference center, and a five-star hotel. The exhibition center mainly caters to comprehensive exhibitions such as the "Lanzhou Fair" and "Rural Fair", as well as other large and medium-sized professional exhibitions. The grand theater primarily serves for large-scale dance and song performances and musical, dramatic, and other performances from within and outside the province. The Gansu International Convention Center project has become a landmark building driving regional economic development on the Yellow River Embankment.

The planning area for the supporting zone of the Gansu International Convention Center covers approximately 38.01 hectares or 571 mu, with a planned total construction area of about 1 million square meters. The project is located in the northeastern part of Lanzhou City, on the north side of Binhe North Road. It faces the Gansu Exhibition Center complex, the People's Congress office building, and the International Solar Energy Center across the road to the south. It extends to Salt Field Road to the north, connects to the Yan Ta Huanghe Bridge to the east, and borders the European Sunshine City residential area to the west.

The estimated total investment for the project is approximately 5 billion RMB. In the overall layout of the supporting area buildings, the central business district is in the middle, and residential areas are on both sides. The total number of households is planned to be 5,171, with a total population of 16,547 people, and a total of 3,020 parking spaces. The planned floor area ratio is 3.5, the green space rate is 35%, and the building density is 25%.

The planning functional positioning of the convention and exhibition supporting area includes three parts: large-scale commercial services, scientific research offices, and residential areas. Office and research and development premises account for 20% of the total area at 200,000 sqm; commercial premises take up 20% at 200,000 sqm; public facilities occupy 5% at 50,000 sqm; and residential premises make up 55% at 550,000 sqm.
