The BAUMA CTT Russia, held in Moscow, Russia, is the largest international construction machinery exhibition in Russia, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe, taking place annually since its inception in 1999. In December 2015, Munich successfully expanded its portfolio by acquiring CTT, Russia’s leading trade fair for construction machinery—now rebranded as bauma CTT RUSSIA. The Exhibition Value of BAUMA CTT Russia
- BAUMA Russia is the largest and most influential international construction machinery exhibition in Russia, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. Alongside Germany’s bauma and China’s bauma CHINA, it forms part of the Munich Expo Group’s global exhibition series and is widely regarded as a leading indicator for the construction machinery industry in Eastern Europe. Since its inception in 1999, the show was officially integrated into the bauma global network following its acquisition by the Munich Expo Group in 2015. Held annually at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow, it has successfully staged 25 editions to date.
- The core value of participation lies in its role as a platform that precisely aligns with the infrastructure needs of Russia and the CIS countries. Russia ranks second only to the United States as China’s largest export market for construction machinery. In 2024, Chinese exhibitors numbered over 500, accounting for nearly half of all participants. With the ongoing large-scale modernization of Russia’s infrastructure, housing development initiatives, and Far East regional development plans, demand for construction machinery remains robust. The exhibition provides participating companies with a direct gateway to Russian domestic buyers, as well as distributors across the CIS, including Belarus and Kazakhstan.
- The event has established an international trade platform covering the entire construction machinery value chain. Exhibits span four major segments: construction equipment (excavators, loaders, cranes, concrete machinery), mining and raw-material processing equipment, building-material production machinery, and suppliers of components and services. For the 2025 edition, the show will bring together 1,052 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions, occupying an exhibition space of 119,000 square meters and attracting more than 69,000 professional visitors. Further expansion is anticipated for 2026, with the number of exhibitors projected to reach 1,268 and visitor attendance exceeding 62,000.
- The exhibition gathers leading global brands and industry pioneers, creating a premier hub for brand value. International representatives include global giants such as Liebherr, Atlas Copco, Wirtgen, and John Deere, while Chinese industry leaders—including Lingong, LiuGong, Foton Lovol, XCMG, and SANY—have been regular participants. Concurrently, the event hosts specialized forums and seminars that delve into cutting-edge technologies like intelligent systems, automation, and green energy efficiency, driving the construction machinery sector toward greater intelligence and sustainability.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the Russian and Eastern European markets and connect with resources along the Belt and Road Initiative. Infrastructure development in Russia and the CIS is currently experiencing rapid growth, generating strong demand for Chinese construction machinery products. Since being incorporated into the bauma global series in 2017, the exhibition’s international profile has significantly strengthened, enabling Chinese exhibitors to showcase their innovative achievements, engage with key procurement networks in Russian-speaking markets, and deepen their integration into the Eastern European construction machinery ecosystem.
