展会简介
The Exhibition Value of the Frankfurt–Chengdu Auto Parts Show
- The Frankfurt–Chengdu Auto Parts Show (CAPAS) is the largest and most influential automotive industry event in Southwest China. Co-organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Automotive Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, it has been successfully held for eleven editions since its inception in 2014 and is widely recognized within the industry as a leading indicator of trends in the Southwest Chinese automotive market and a strategic gateway for global companies seeking to expand into the western region.Leveraging the locational advantages of the Chengdu–Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle as a core growth hub for China’s automotive sector, the show is deeply integrated into the coordinated industrial development framework of Sichuan and Chongqing, serving as a strategic platform that connects global automotive supply chain resources, showcases cutting-edge technological advancements, and sets the tone for industry trends.
- The core value of participation lies in its unique ability to bridge the Southwest Chinese automotive market with the industrial synergy of the Chengdu–Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle. With a regional component‑supply rate exceeding 80% in Sichuan and Chongqing, the combined automotive output reached 3.43 million vehicles in 2024, including 1.087 million new‑energy vehicles, forming a highly integrated “complete vehicle manufacturing + core components” ecosystem. The exhibition brings together domestic and international exhibitors from around the globe; the eleventh edition in 2025 will set a record with an exhibition space of 52,000 square meters, attracting 773 participating companies and expected to welcome visitors from over 40 countries and regions. Professional attendees include OEMs, component suppliers, distributors, service providers, cross‑border e‑commerce platforms, and procurement decision‑makers, providing exhibitors with a strategic opportunity to engage directly with key purchasing decision‑makers in the Southwest market.
- The show has established a one‑stop commercial platform covering the entire automotive value chain.Exhibits span all categories, including components and assemblies, electronic and intelligent systems, new‑energy and intelligent connected technologies, accessories and customization, maintenance and repair equipment, tires and wheels, lubricants, and related consumables. The event features eight dedicated zones: the Chengdu–Chongqing Twin‑City Economic Circle Zone, the New‑Energy and Intelligent Connected Technologies Zone, the Commercial Vehicle Zone, the Components Procurement/Chassis Zone, the Accessories Zone, the Tires Zone, the Aftermarket/Supply Chain & Retail Chain Zone, and the Automotive Lifestyle Services Zone. In 2025, renowned brands such as Honeywell, Tianneng Battery, Ningbo Top Group, Evamor, Liper, and Timington, alongside leading local Sichuan–Chongqing enterprises like Chuannan Shock Absorbers, Fengchuan Power, Yibin Kaiyi, and Sinotruk Chengshang, will showcase their latest innovations on the same stage.
- Keeping pace with three major industry trends—new energy, intelligent connectivity, and full‑chain collaboration—the show has created a high‑tech hub fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application.Focusing on cutting‑edge topics such as new‑energy vehicle manufacturing, power batteries, autonomous driving, charging infrastructure, and after‑sales digitalization, the 2025 edition will host 23 high‑quality concurrent events, including the 2025 China Automotive Supply Chain and New‑Energy Vehicle International Cooperation Conference, the Southwest Regional Automotive Aftermarket Development Conference, the International Automotive Industry Education and Talent Development Conference, and the Chengdu–Chongqing Automotive and Charging/Replacing Industry Supply‑Demand Matching Conference. A special New‑Energy Industry‑Education Integration Zone has also been established, offering a comprehensive platform for talent cultivation, technical training, and university‑enterprise collaboration, tailored to address workforce needs in the new‑energy and intelligent connected sectors.
- The show innovatively establishes an international commercial platform driven by both “aftermarket overseas expansion” and “overseas business delegation” initiatives. As China’s auto export volumes continue to grow, cross‑border e‑commerce platforms such as eBay have become vital channels for exporting auto parts. The 2025 edition will attract visitors from more than 40 countries and regions, introducing for the first time the CAPAS Overseas Business Delegation, which facilitates in‑depth visits by international buyers to Sichuan and Chongqing’s new‑energy industrial bases. Special buyer‑focused matchmaking sessions, procurement briefings, and distributor gala dinners further enhance opportunities for supply‑demand alignment. Meanwhile, the advanced ceramic industry cluster of Loudi, Hunan, makes its debut as a collective exhibitor, with its ceramic sealing connectors for power batteries commanding a 12% share of the global market.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the Southwest market, connect with international resources, and showcase innovative capabilities. As the Chengdu–Chongqing region accelerates toward becoming a world‑class cluster for intelligent connected new‑energy vehicles, the show leverages the synergistic strengths of local complete vehicle manufacturers and core component suppliers, providing companies with a strategic pathway to access regional supply chain resources and expand into the western market. Exhibitors can use this platform to engage with key purchasing entities in the Southwest, seizing early opportunities in the automotive industry’s transition toward new energy, intelligence, and globalization.
- The 12th Chengdu International Auto Parts and Aftermarket Exhibition (CAPAS), scheduled for May 21–23, 2026, will be held at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu. With an anticipated exhibition area of 55,000 square meters, 790 exhibiting companies, and over 27,000 professional visitors, the show will continue to provide an efficient platform for global automotive industry exchange and collaboration.
