展会简介
The Exhibition Value of the Yuyao Plastics Fair
- China Plastics Expo (Chinplas) is one of the longest-running and largest specialized trade shows in China’s plastics industry. Since its inception in 1999, it has been successfully held for twenty-six editions and is widely recognized by the industry as a leading indicator of China’s plastics sector development and a central hub for connecting global plastic value chains. Co-organized by authoritative bodies such as the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China National Petroleum Corporation, Sinopec Group, and the China National Light Industry Council, the fair leverages the deep industrial roots of Yuyao—known as “China’s Plastic City”—to serve as a strategic platform for linking global plastic industry resources, showcasing cutting-edge technological advances, and guiding industry trends.
- The core value of exhibiting lies in its unique “origin-based” platform characteristics and its distinct advantage in precisely connecting with the Yangtze River Delta’s industrial clusters. Yuyao and its surrounding areas boast a fully integrated plastics industry chain, encompassing raw material trading, compounding and modification, mold manufacturing, injection molding, and other end-to-end processes, making it a major production base for plastic products in China. The 26th edition in 2025 will feature eight exhibition halls spanning 42,000 square meters, bringing together 432 renowned domestic and international companies and attracting 36,265 professional visitors from 30 provinces and 321 counties and cities across China, as well as overseas attendees from 25 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.
- The fair establishes a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire plastics value chain. Exhibits span all categories, including plastic raw materials, engineering plastics, plastic machinery, molds and tooling, and finished plastic products, forming a complete industrial ecosystem that links upstream petrochemicals to downstream end-use applications. The event features three key thematic zones—“Large-Scale Petrochemical Raw Materials,” “Plastic Modification,” and “Smart Plastic Machinery”—alongside specialized sections such as the “Product Innovation Inspiration Hub” and “Engineering Plastics.” Industry leaders—including China National Petroleum Corporation, Sinopec, Shaanxi Yanchang Group, Haitian Group, Zhenxiong Group, Yizumi, Koblone, FANUC, and Fuqiangxin—will showcase their latest innovations across the full spectrum of raw materials, equipment, and end-use applications.
- The fair aligns with the three major industry trends of green transformation, intelligentization, and high-end development, establishing a technology powerhouse through deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. With the theme “Innovation Empowers Industry, Green Leads the Sector,” the 2025 edition highlights cutting-edge trends and practical applications in green, smart, and high-end plastics. Concurrent industry conferences and technical forums further strengthen industry–academia–research collaboration, providing exhibitors with a comprehensive platform for business negotiations and technical exchanges. Participating companies such as Yanenghua engaged in intensive discussions with downstream customers during the fair, focusing on critical topics like product specifications, application scenarios, and quality control. High-density polyethylene pipe materials and ethylene–propylene rubber emerged as key focal points.
- The fair continues to drive digital transformation, creating an integrated online–offline smart exhibition experience. For the 2025 edition, the online exhibition platform has been optimized and upgraded, enabling visitors to enhance their viewing efficiency through a hybrid model combining virtual cloud tours with in-person experiences. During the fair, the online platform attracted over 73,000 independent visitors, effectively helping exhibitors expand their customer base. The event has also received certification from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), underscoring its ongoing commitment to professionalism and internationalization.
- For Chinese enterprises, this fair serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the Yangtze River Delta market, connect with international resources, and showcase innovative capabilities. Each year, the fair organizes purchasing delegations comprising more than 2,200 professional buyers from 19 major plastics-producing regions, covering niche sectors such as plastics processing, home appliances, automotive, electronics, and cosmetics. These efforts have resulted in 53 confirmed cooperation agreements, demonstrating significant success in facilitating economic and trade linkages. Exhibiting companies can leverage this platform to access core procurement networks in the Yangtze River Delta, seizing early opportunities in the region’s transition toward greener, smarter, and higher‑end plastics industries.
