展会简介
The Exhibition Value of the Chengdu Bihai Fishing Tackle Show
- The Chengdu Bihai Fishing Tackle and Outdoor Recreation Equipment Show is one of the most influential events in China’s fishing tackle industry. As the western inaugural stop of the Bihai Fishing Tackle Industry Expo, since its debut in Chengdu in 2024, it has successfully established itself as a large-scale gathering that integrates commerce, culture, and experiential engagement. The show is widely recognized within the industry as a strategic gateway for expanding into the Southwest market and as a landmark platform driving the transformation of the fishing tackle sector toward a broader outdoor lifestyle. Hosted by Beijing Bihai Fishing Tackle Co., Ltd., the autumn 2025 edition will be held from September 25 to 27 at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center, spanning 60,000 square meters. The event will bring together nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies and attract over 100,000 professional visitors and fishing enthusiasts.
- The core value of participation lies in the exhibition’s dual attributes: its role as a precision‑driven platform connecting with the rapidly growing Southwest market, coupled with its deep-rooted industry expertise. Sichuan Province is renowned as “the land where all mountains and waters reside,” and its abundant aquatic resources have fostered a substantial community of fishing enthusiasts, with fishing venues ranking among the largest nationwide. As the provincial capital, Chengdu boasts a population of 21 million and a GDP of RMB 2.2 trillion, placing it seventh nationally. It serves as a major wholesale hub for fishing gear, radiating across Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Tibet, with an extensive business reach. In 2024, the inaugural edition drew nearly 700 exhibitors, occupied close to 50,000 square meters, and welcomed over 50,000 visitors, underscoring the immense potential of the Southwest market.
- The show has established a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire value chain of fishing tackle and outdoor equipment. Exhibits include core categories such as fishing rods, hooks and lines, reels, floats, landing nets, tackle boxes, baits, and fish finders, alongside outdoor recreation gear like fishing apparel, waterproof boots, specialized fishing knives, and boats. The 2025 edition will feature 12 major product categories, including groundbait, hook and line, netting systems, fishing rods, comprehensive gear, floats, apparel, outdoor accessories, lures, reels, tools, and fishing bags. A wide array of domestic and international brands will be represented, including global names such as Pure Fishing, Berkley, Penn, Red Wolf, Shakespeare, Sweden’s Abu Garcia, France’s Mitchell, Japan’s Daiwa, Shima, JAKALL, and others. Domestically, leading enterprises like Guangwei Fishing Tackle, Pacific, Mermaid, Hengguan, Chuangxing, Better Products, Hailongwang, Tiancheng, Fuji, Ningbo Zhuosheng Fishing Tackle, Lao Gui, Longwanghen, Zhifei Wang, Pil Fishing Tackle, BKK, and Koni will all make their presence felt.
- The exhibition aligns with three major industry trends—“a holistic outdoor lifestyle, immersive fishing culture experiences, and entertainment for all”—creating a showcase for innovative products and engaging, immersive experiences. Innovatively themed around a “Fishing Culture Festival,” the show features lure‑fishing competition pools, small‑game fishing areas, demonstrations led by seasoned anglers, celebrity fishing contests, and family‑friendly fishing events. A dedicated fishing‑culture zone will also host handcrafted fishing gear, leather‑working tools, traditional fish‑printing techniques, fish-themed paintings, and intangible cultural heritage displays, along with hands-on workshops on knot tying, crafting bio‑inspired baits, and creating fish prints. These initiatives aim to spark greater public interest and enthusiasm for fishing, propelling the sport toward broader popularization, family‑oriented appeal, and increased recreational engagement.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the Southwest market, connect with regional resources, and showcase cutting-edge innovation. Chengdu residents are known for their strong exhibition‑going habits, with enthusiasm and attendance second only to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou nationwide. Building on the proven professionalism of the Bihai (Tianjin) show, this edition introduces fresh creativity and dynamism, with many manufacturers and brand operators tailoring offerings to suit local tastes. Some companies even choose to unveil new products ahead of schedule at the Chengdu event. Exhibitors can leverage this platform to engage with key procurement networks in the Southwest, seizing early opportunities in the transition of the fishing tackle industry toward a more diversified outdoor lifestyle.
- The Autumn 2026 Bihai (Chengdu) Fishing Tackle and Outdoor Recreation Equipment Exhibition is scheduled to take place in the autumn of 2026 at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. The show will continue to provide an efficient platform for global exchange and collaboration within the fishing tackle and outdoor recreation sectors.
