The Exhibition Value of the Tianjin International Shipping Expo
- The Tianjin International Shipping Industry Expo (TISIE) is the largest and most influential shipping industry event in Northern China. Having successfully convened for three editions, it is widely recognized within the industry as a key platform for global collaboration and exchange across the shipping value chain. Co-hosted by ten entities, including the Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and the Binhai New Area Government, the expo enjoys robust support from national-level industry associations such as the China Navigation Society, the China Shipowners’ Association, and the China Shipbuilding Industry Association. It serves as an important vehicle for advancing high-quality integrated development among ports, industries, and urban areas.
- The core value of participation lies in its platform‑wide coverage of the entire industry chain and its strategic advantage in precisely connecting upstream and downstream resources. The expo features nine specialized exhibition zones—International Ports, International Shipowners, Green and Smart Shipping, Port and Shipping Equipment, Shipping Industry Chain, Shipping Services, Shipping Culture and Tourism, and International Freight Forwarding—spanning the full spectrum of the industry, from port operations and shipbuilding to shipping finance and insurance consulting. Its professional audience includes shipping companies, port authorities, cargo owners, logistics service providers, financial institutions, and government agencies, offering exhibiting enterprises a strategic gateway to engage directly with key procurement decision‑makers.
- The expo has established an international platform that links global markets and brings together leading industry players. Each edition attracts participation from central state-owned enterprises such as COSCO Shipping Group, China Merchants Group, CSSC, and China National Pipeline Group, as well as representatives from international institutions including the Port of Antwerp–Bruges in Belgium, the National University of Singapore, and Drewry Shipping Consultants. A growing number of Fortune Global 500 companies, listed corporations, and industry leaders have participated year after year, creating a diversified exhibitor landscape characterized by state‑owned enterprises taking the lead, industry leaders driving momentum, and private firms remaining highly active.
- Keeping pace with the three major industry trends—digitalization, green transformation, and internationalization—the expo has forged a cutting‑edge hub for deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. Focusing on前沿 issues such as smart ports, green shipping, and shipping finance, the expo concurrently hosts numerous specialized forums, technical seminars, and project‑matching events. It also releases authoritative industry publications, including the “Blue Book on the Development of the Tianjin International Shipping Center” and the “China’s Seaport Cities: Report on Port Economic Development,” providing exhibiting enterprises with end‑to‑end support—from trend insights to practical business implementation.
