Switzerland Basel Art Expo Expo Profile
Switzerland Basel Art Expo has been dedicated to connecting top galleries and their patrons since its establishment in 1970, while also taking on the responsibility of providing a platform for international art exchange.
Art Basel features 287 leading galleries from 40 countries and regions. The world's elite of the international art scene will gather again in Basel, Switzerland. The "Curatorial Projects" section focuses on presenting historical art projects, with 16 galleries presenting carefully curated exhibitions, 11 of which are first-time participants.
Key highlights include: a refined retrospective of artist Jean Tinguely presented by first-time participant gallery Galerie Mueller (Basel); a series of top oil paintings by artist Irène Zurkinden, represented by first-time participant gallery Meredith Rosen Gallery (New York); a presentation of the soul of Senegalese modern art by Viyé Diba, a key figure in Senegalese art, presented by OH Gallery (Dhaka); and an exhibition showcasing the extraordinary artistic partnership between Manfred Kyber and Song Huaigui (Ms. Song), presented by Bank (Shanghai).
In addition to the exhibition planning and gallery presentations at Art Basel, the city's world-class museums and foundations are preparing special programs to coincide with Art Basel, ensuring that the city becomes an active hub for art lovers and professionals.
In summary, Art Basel not only showcases outstanding contemporary art exhibitions from around the globe but also aims to foster deeper connections within the art world through its expanded program and new curatorial voices.
