China Nanjing Energy Storage & Intelligent Technology Expo (CESC) is themed around "Assisting Dual Carbon • Energizing the Future", systematically interpreting the process and development trends of the new energy storage industry, fully showcasing the latest product developments and applications from both domestic and international markets. It focuses on how green energy can help achieve the "dual carbon" goal sooner.

Occupying an area of 36,000 square meters, the exhibition expects to host over 600 exhibitors. Several high-level forums and sub-forums will also be held concurrently. As global energy revolution accelerates, promoting energy revolution and building a new type of power system has become a global consensus. As a core component that coordinates the interaction between "source, grid, load, and storage" and balances dynamic supply and demand of electricity, new energy storage has become a crucial support for achieving the national strategy of "peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality". After being continuously nurtured by multi-dimensional policies during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the policy guidance, industrial support, demonstration application, and other aspects of new energy storage have been strengthened during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, propelling the industry from its initial commercialization phase into a stage of large-scale application and experiencing rapid development opportunities, driven by strong internal development momentum.

With the passage of the IRA bill in the United States, high electricity futures prices in Europe, and mandatory energy storage requirements in China, it is anticipated that by 2025, the proportion of wind and solar power generation worldwide will exceed 20%, while in China, this figure will approach 18%. Correspondingly, the annual new demand for new energy storage globally and domestically is expected to exceed 90 GW and 35 GW respectively. By 2030, the proportion of wind and solar power generation in China is projected to reach nearly 30%, potentially leading to an annual new demand for new energy storage exceeding 60 GW. The new energy storage industry chain encompasses critical segments such as key materials, battery systems, inverter integration, thermal control and fire protection, regulatory operation and maintenance, scenario demonstrations, recycling and utilization, among others. These areas are undergoing iterative upgrades, bringing innovative opportunities for the large-scale, comprehensive, and high-quality development of new energy storage.

Despite facing issues such as an incomplete industry standard system, limited demonstration application scenarios, imperfect transaction models and mechanisms, and the need for breakthroughs in key technologies or core processes, the new energy storage industry still faces significant challenges. To facilitate the rapid, high-quality, and stable development of the new energy storage industry, a high-end industry exchange and sharing platform is needed. Thus, the China Nanjing Energy Storage & Intelligent Technology Expo (CESC) was born.
