Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Plan"), outlining key tasks and objectives for promoting the construction of a new power system during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The plan emphasizes solidifying the new power system, coordinating the scale of new energy project development, continuously enhancing the safe and stable operation of the power system, and accelerating the rapid development of clean energy. Under the national strategic backdrop of "Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality," clean energy will become the mainstay of China's future energy structure. Energy storage technology, which addresses critical challenges such as large-scale integration of clean energy, peak shaving and valley filling in power systems, and load balancing in distributed regional energy systems, has become the core and key to "building a new power system dominated by new energy." By 2025, new energy storage will transition from the initial commercialization stage to large-scale development, meeting the conditions for widespread commercial application.
