Since 2005, the International Hardware Fair Cologne - Asia Pacific Sourcing (APS) has aimed to create a new import and export trade platform between the Asia-Pacific region and Europe & North America. It primarily showcases hardware, home, gardening, and leisure products from Asia. Its purpose is to connect the diverse products of the Asian market with the growing demand in Europe and North America, all converging in Cologne.

As a representative odd-year event for the hardware & tools industry in the European market, APS is increasingly being added to corporate schedules.
