SEMICON Korea is an annual flagship event organized by SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International), attracting semiconductor materials and equipment companies from both domestic and international markets. The event will also feature the MI Forum, Testing Forum, and Smart Manufacturing Forum. As advanced applications evolve, the importance of low power consumption is increasingly prominent, leading to the inaugural SiC Power Semiconductor Summit this year.

This year's theme is "Innovation Beyond Boundaries." With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, technological collaboration and innovation will transcend existing limits, spanning from chip design to manufacturing processes and supply chains. A total of 200 semiconductor experts will attend as invited guests, with keynote speeches delivered by industry giants such as SK hynix, Merck, and Elian.

SEMICON Korea will host a Semiconductor Investment Briefing during the event, with a scale more than double that of the previous edition. The U.S. Semiconductor Investment Briefing will provide a detailed explanation of the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act and offer guidance on semiconductor support policies from four participating U.S. states: New York, Arizona, Indiana, and Texas.

Additionally, the exhibition will debut the "Startup Summit," designed to facilitate business matchmaking between startups and venture capitalists, enabling global investors to discover and nurture promising semiconductor enterprises. Participating investors include Samsung Catalyst Fund, Applied Ventures, SK hynix, LG Technology Ventures, UDC Ventures, and TEL Ventures.

SEMICON Korea survey data shows that 31% of attendees are interested in production equipment, 26% in materials, and 24% in product manufacturing. Furthermore, 87% of visitors hold independent or joint purchasing authority, and 57% are technical engineers or senior executives. (Copyright belongs to Juzhan.
