The Shantou Chenghai Toy and Gift Exhibition (Shantou Stationery Expo), themed “The Toy Capital, Igniting the World,” features dedicated zones for toy brands, machinery, complementary accessories, and IP‑driven e‑commerce, adopting a “one conference, four exhibitions” format to establish itself as the premier professional platform for the entire toy industry value chain. Leveraging the cluster advantages of “China’s Toy and Gift Capital,” it provides an efficient trade‑matching platform for the global toy sector.

At the event, more than 2,000 renowned brands from around the world will participate. According to organizers, the exhibition covers an area of 100,000 square meters, encompassing all major toy categories and showcasing the industry’s diverse landscape. Strategically timed to coincide with the autumn session of the Canton Fair, the expo capitalizes on the fair’s substantial international visitor flow, expecting to attract over 120,000 professional attendees from across the toy ecosystem—including buyers, distributors, retailers, and designers.

Huang Yixian, President of the Chenghai Toy Association, emphasized that innovation is the lifeblood of the toy industry, calling for increased investment in R&D to accelerate the transition from “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing.” Key initiatives include advancing diversified integration strategies such as “Toy + AI,” “Toy + IP,” and “Toy + Education,” while actively exploring the application of technologies like AI and VR across the entire value chain—from product R&D and design to production, manufacturing, and marketing services. At the same time, efforts are underway to delve deeper into the cultural essence of toy creativity, fostering the integrated development of “Toy + Cultural Tourism” to propel the toy industry from a “manufacturing‑based economy” toward a “creative economy” and an “experiential economy.”
