Chengdu Tea Industry Exhibition – Chengdu Tea Expo Profile
The Chengdu Tea Industry Exhibition—Chengdu Tea Expo (Sichuan International Tea Expo) was first launched in 2012 and is held twice annually, in spring and autumn. The spring edition, the Sichuan International Tea Expo, serves as a professional and effective platform for fostering the development of a tea industry worth hundreds of billions of yuan, showcasing Sichuan’s tea brands, and enhancing the visibility and influence of Sichuan tea.
The autumn edition, the Chengdu International Tea Expo, is the only tea expo in Western China to have received UFI certification, making it one of the three major tea expos accredited by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
This year’s event focuses on the deep integration of “tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology,” featuring three thematic pavilions—the National Famous Teas Pavilion (comprising two halls), the Tea Ceramics and Aesthetics Pavilion—and specialized zones dedicated to international black tea, jasmine tea, new‑generation tea beverages, coffee, and other specialty categories. The exhibition comprehensively covers the entire value chain, from tea production and processing to sales and cultural experiences. On site, tens of thousands of high‑quality exhibits are showcased, including six major tea categories, raw materials and finished products for new‑generation tea drinks, tea utensils, tea space design, and tea‑related derivative products. In addition to traditional tea varieties, the event highlights cutting‑edge applications of tea technology and innovative cross‑category tea‑plus offerings.
With an exhibition area of 35,000 square meters, this edition has attracted nearly 800 reputable domestic and international enterprises. Through full‑chain industry displays, multidimensional exchanges, and immersive experiential activities, the event establishes a robust platform for the high‑quality development of the tea sector, while also offering residents an autumnal feast that seamlessly blends the aroma of tea, the elegance of tea ware, and rich cultural traditions.
In addition to its extensive tea offerings, the Chengdu Tea Industry Exhibition—Chengdu Tea Expo (Sichuan International Tea Expo) is concurrently hosting an exhibition of exquisite Yixing zisha ceramic tea wares, bringing together renowned porcelain and pottery traditions from across China, including Jingdezhen ceramics, Yixing zisha teapots, Longquan celadon, Dehua white porcelain, and Jianyang Jianzhan, alongside celebrated brands such as Weiming Kiln, Yongfengyuan, and Tonghua. Visitors can explore a wide array of tea utensils, tea furniture, tea‑inspired apparel, incense‑related items, floral arrangements, and more, creating an immersive tea‑aesthetic experience.
