The ASEAN Pacific Semiconductor Summit & Fair (APSSE) is hosted by the Penang State Government of Malaysia and the Malaysian Semiconductor Industry Association. It convenes with influential countries and regions around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, to collectively promote international cooperation and exchange in the semiconductor industry.

The conference will gather elites from the integrated circuit industry worldwide through a combination of exhibition, forum speeches, and business visits, to jointly foresee the future development trends of the pan-semiconductor industry and discuss innovation and cooperation in the industry.

Malaysia has become an important participant in the chip manufacturing industry over the past 50 years. Its semiconductors account for 7% of global trade, with packaging and testing accounting for 13%. Semiconductor product exports account for 62% of its domestic electronic and electrical product exports. A quarter of Malaysia's GDP comes from the semiconductor industry. Benefiting from its geographical location, demographic dividend, manufacturing capabilities, and rapidly growing economy, Malaysia has attracted a large number of international semiconductor manufacturers. Its northern island - Penang - is known as the country's "Silicon Valley", where major semiconductor manufacturers such as Intel, GlobalFoundries, and Infineon are located.

In recent years, the global semiconductor industry chain has faced some changes and challenges, with adjustments and policy changes in most countries and regions affecting the development of the global semiconductor industry. China is the world's largest semiconductor market, and Chinese semiconductor companies, as an indispensable part of the global industrial chain, are actively exploring and practicing ways to integrate into the global semiconductor ecosystem - building a supply chain system that is in line with the international market, optimizing resource allocation, improving production efficiency, to meet the global market's demand for high-quality semiconductor products. Additionally, by strengthening cooperation and exchanges with international enterprises and leveraging the advantages of international semiconductor industrial clusters, they are driving the deepening of cross-border business, creating a dual circulation market at home and abroad, and achieving more breakthroughs in cultivating the market and integrating into the new development pattern.
