Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Profile
The Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) exhibition is the only aerospace and defence expo in Africa that integrates a trade exhibition with an airshow. In recent years, it has become one of the largest contributors to South Africa's GDP and is regarded as a national asset.Due to prolonged conflicts and underinvestment in certain regions, Africa's land transport infrastructure remains underdeveloped. Consequently, air transport serves as a vital channel for fostering trade, facilitating travel, and attracting investment across the continent. Currently, Russia and other nations are actively tapping into the vast potential of the African aviation market. In recent years, South Africa has been committed to advancing its domestic defence systems and seeks to collaborate with other nations on joint development initiatives.
The previous edition of AAD covered an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters, hosting 407 exhibitors from China, the United States, Dubai, Turkey, Brazil, Spain, Japan, Italy, Russia, Kenya, and other regions, with over 30,000 attendees.
