Qingdao International Meat Industry Exhibition – China International Meat Industry WeekProfile

China International Meat Industry Week (CIMIE) is a focal point of attention and participation for meat industry enterprises and professionals worldwide. As a UFI‑certified premier event in the meat sector, it brings together over 2,000 leading domestic and international companies, spanning the entire value chain—including livestock and poultry slaughter, advanced processing, cold-chain logistics, smart equipment, packaging technologies, and alternative proteins.

During this year’s edition, numerous cutting‑edge industry conferences will be held, featuring distinguished guests from government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates in China, as well as domestic and international meat industry organizations and enterprises. These sessions will share insights into the current status and emerging trends across various sub‑sectors, interpret relevant policies, and explore how technological innovation and trade‑in‑services can drive industry development. Through roundtable discussions, new‑product launches, and international exchanges, CIMIE aims to foster greater collaboration and knowledge sharing within the sector.

China International Meat Industry Week (CIMIE) gathers global leaders from the meat industry, showcasing products that cover fresh meat, prepared meat products, highly processed meat items, slaughterhouse and processing equipment, packaging machinery and materials, food ingredients, and cold‑chain logistics—spanning every segment of the meat value chain—and highlighting the latest technologies and innovations. With tens of thousands of visitors engaging in business negotiations, the platform for production‑sales cooperation is rapidly taking shape, delivering significant cluster‑effect benefits.

Looking ahead to the transition from a major meat‑producing nation to a globally competitive meat powerhouse, Chen Wei, President of the China Meat Association, has outlined five key initiatives to propel industry growth: strengthening the industrial chain by upgrading front‑end farming technologies and efficiency; fostering synergistic development between industry and agriculture; establishing market‑oriented mechanisms to fully leverage the role of industry associations; optimizing both domestic and international markets to balance import‑export dynamics; and reinforcing policy guidance to create an enabling regulatory environment for sustainable industry development.

China’s meat industry is advancing toward higher quality, greater efficiency, and enhanced sustainability, poised to achieve a historic leap from “large” to “strong.” China International Meat Industry Week (CIMIE) provides another vital platform for global beef and sheep industry stakeholders to connect, showcase their offerings, and collaborate.

Exhibition Review

The 23rd China International Meat Industry Exhibition (CIMIE 2025) was successfully held from September 15 to 17, 2025, at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, concurrently with the 2025 China International Meat Industry Week (September 13–17). Co-hosted by the China Meat Association and the World Meat Organization, this edition of the exhibition is a premier annual event for the global meat industry.

In terms of scale, the event occupied 15 pavilions, including Halls A, B, and C, with a total exhibition area approaching 110,000 square meters—marking a new all-time high. The show attracted more than 2,000 domestic and international exhibitors from around the world, covering the entire value chain—from fresh meat and prepared products to deeply processed meat items, slaughterhouse equipment, processing machinery, packaging materials, food ingredients, and cold-chain logistics solutions. Exhibits virtually spanned the full “farm-to-table” continuum. Leading meat organizations and companies from Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries showcased their latest innovations, while tens of thousands of professional visitors were expected to attend for networking and business discussions.

This year’s exhibition featured numerous highlights, with domestic market leaders and international brands competing on the same stage—a central attraction for attendees. Domestic giants such as Shuanghui, Jinluo, Muyuan, Yurun, Gaojin Food, Huayu Holdings, and Xiwang joined forces with international equipment manufacturers like GEA, Quintus, and Gree Electric to present their offerings. Shuanghui unveiled twenty to thirty household‑ready products, including crispy grilled sausages, authentic Chinese-style sausages, juicy stuffed sausages, fresh‑lock meatballs, shrimp paste, steaks, and bacon. Jinluo Group exhibited its six business units—meat products, fresh foods, prepared dishes, seasonings, Sansong Bio, and Edson—earning widespread acclaim for several standout items. Gaojin Food’s high‑protein black‑pig luncheon meat slices and black‑pig oil emerged as star products, with the latter receiving the Special Recommendation Award. Huayu Holdings’ brands—including Zhongpin, Dongfang Yichu, and Huayuan Supply Chain—made a collective appearance; Zhongpin’s Euro‑style sausage won both the “Meat Industry Week Preferred Product Award” and the “National Meat Food Packaging Innovation Award,” while Dongfang Yichu’s crispy pork chops claimed the “Meat Industry Week Best‑Selling Product Gold Award.” GEA showcased end‑to‑end meat processing solutions, from pre‑treatment and deep processing to packaging, while Quintus highlighted its HPP ultra‑high pressure technology, and Gree Electric presented cutting‑edge cold‑chain and quick‑freezing solutions.

A rich array of concurrent events created a high‑level platform for industry dialogue. During the exhibition, a series of conferences and forums were held, including the 2025 Meat Industry Innovation and Development Conference, the inaugural Global Meat Industry Services Trade Development Conference, the Second High‑Quality Development Conference for the Poultry (Egg) Industry, and the 2025 China Natural Casings Industry Development Conference. The Slaughter Technology Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs launched a campaign during these events to promote awareness, adoption, and compliance with livestock and poultry slaughter standards, aiming to elevate implementation levels over the next five years. Additional trade‑related activities included the 2025 Together with Quality Ingredients Culinary Show, the 2025 Hot Pot Carnival, and the 2025 Meat Production‑Sales TOP Partner Matchmaking Event, alongside science‑communication initiatives such as the 2025 Meat Industry High‑Quality Development Lecture Series and the Meat Consumption Public Education Stage.

Booths of Jinluo, Shuanghui, Huayu, and Gaojin were recognized as “Best Booths,” while Shuanghui’s Pro Pork Sausage and Gaojin’s Black Pig Oil were designated as “Special Recommendation Products.”

Attendees agreed that the China International Meat Industry Exhibition serves not only as an outstanding platform for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also as a pivotal hub for gaining insights into global meat industry trends and exploring pathways toward digitalization and green transformation. As China’s largest, most professional, and highest‑level international exhibition dedicated to the meat food sector, CIMIE will continue to drive the high‑quality development of China’s meat industry.
