The WSAVA World Congress (World Small Animal Veterinary Association, abbreviated as WSAVA) is an international academic organization for veterinary research. Serving as the executive body of the Standing Committee of the World Veterinary Congress, it was officially established in 1962 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Its primary missions include hosting congresses, fostering communication and exchange among national veterinary associations, standardizing professional techniques and theories, formulating international veterinary regulations, and elevating the status of the veterinary profession. The WSAVA World Congress will be held in China for the first time in 2024, one of the fastest-growing veterinary markets globally. In 2024, the WSAVA World Congress will be co-hosted by two Chinese member associations: the Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association (BJSAVA) and the Shanghai Small Animal Veterinary Association (SHSAVA). It aims to provide Chinese professionals with a premier continuing education event, while also learning from their knowledge and experience, as they have made tremendous contributions to our global veterinary community.
