Since the first domestically developed RV rolled off the production line in 2001, China’s RV industry has grown steadily over more than two decades. Today, China ranks as Asia’s largest RV market and the world’s third-largest producer, behind only the United States and Germany. Meanwhile, by 2025, exports of RV components are projected to reach US$7.8–8.2 billion, capturing 28%–30% of the global market share. In total, approximately 100,000 RV units and component sets are expected to be exported overseas, with domestic-to-foreign sales ratios approaching 1:5. China has emerged as a “hidden champion” in both the manufacturing and export of RV components worldwide.
As a flagship event under the RVSHOW umbrella, the Shanghai International RV Show is renowned for its relentless innovation. Adapting to evolving market dynamics, it has successively launched initiatives such as the “Class A RV Show” and the “RV+” strategy, earning recognition as a leading indicator of trends in China’s RV and camping sector.
