The Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Trade Fair—Inner Mongolia Medical Device Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Fair) is a well‑known domestic trade fair for pharmaceuticals and health products. Established in 1999, it is regarded as a barometer of the national pharmaceutical and health‑product industries, China’s first permanent city‑based pharmaceutical exhibition, and has held the title of the nation’s largest fixed‑location city‑based exhibition for ten consecutive years. As one of the longest‑running and largest industry‑brand events in China’s pharmaceutical sector, it encompasses every stage of the value chain—from R&D and manufacturing to distribution and services—making it the premier venue for gauging industry trends and identifying emerging developments.

It is widely recognized that the Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Fair boasts distinct advantages in terms of its historical legacy, scale, exhibitor quality, and influence. Consequently, the event has expanded its reach, organizing regional pharmaceutical trade fairs across numerous provinces and municipalities, including Shanxi, Shenyang, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Hangzhou, and others. These complementary events are collectively known as the Weilian Pharmaceutical Fairs, and the Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Fair itself is among the large‑scale exhibition projects receiving key support from China’s Ministry of Commerce.

With the government’s growing support for the traditional Chinese medicine industry, ethnic medicines have achieved remarkable progress since the turn of the century. In particular, Tibetan medicine, rooted in the highland plateau, has experienced leapfrog development, becoming a standout highlight at each edition of the fair and drawing intense attention from media outlets and distributors alike.

In response to the increasingly prominent role of pharmacy retailers at the terminal end of the industry value chain, the Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Fair has extended invitations to its member organizations and arranged visits for chain‑store members to attend, explore opportunities, and make purchases.
