The Seoul Coatings Exhibition in South Korea (ATEM FAIR) is the first international trade show in Korea dedicated to adhesives, coatings, films and sheets, surface treatments, and chemical raw materials, reflecting the robust state of Korea’s adhesive and coating industries as well as the current market landscape.

In 2006, South Korea’s total coatings production reached 920,000 tons. Although growth continued in segments such as automotive paints, marine coatings, and industrial coatings, the country’s regulatory standards and industry norms remain relatively lenient. Local manufacturers have largely retained traditional production processes, resulting in limited availability of environmentally friendly coating products and a constrained scale and number of production facilities, despite strong demand for advanced coating solutions.
