Chengdu Surface Treatment Exhibition (CCSEE) is held to promote the construction of the Chengyu urban economic circle, boost the high-quality development of the economy in Chongqing and Sichuan, and strengthen the exchange and cooperation between surface treatment enterprises in the central and western regions and domestic and foreign enterprises. The Chongqing Electroplating Industry Association, Chongqing Coating and Painting Industry Association, Chongqing Surface Engineering Industry Association, Chongqing Surface Engineering Technology Society, Chengdu Coating Industry Association, and Chengdu Surface Engineering Industry Association, among other surface engineering industry associations in Chongqing and Sichuan, co-host the event. It has been agreed that starting from 2021, it will be held annually in Chongqing on odd years and in Chengdu on even years, promoting and driving the healthy green development of the surface treatment industry centered around the Chengyu dual-city economic circle.

The Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area is the only national central region in the western inland of China. According to the plan, 34 billion-yuan industrial parks will be strategically laid out for the advantage cluster industries, and industrial transfer will be well received. High-quality industrial parks will be built together. By 2030, the Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area will complete its historic leap from a national-level metropolitan area to a world-class metropolitan area. The Chengdu-Chongqing metropolitan area will become the fourth production manufacturing cluster area in China after the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Bohai Rim region, bringing huge business opportunities to the surface treatment and coating industries.

Chengdu Surface Treatment Exhibition (CCSEE) is highly valued by the government authorities concerned, and the "Chengyu Dual-City Economic Circle Surface Treatment Industry Industrial Connection Conference" is jointly organized; special invitations are extended to the Western China Surface Treatment Industry Joint Committee and all brother associations across the country to organize exhibitions and visits, ensuring the scale and quality of the exhibition.

The theme of the Chengdu Surface Treatment Exhibition - Chengyu Surface Fair covers electronic electroplating, cyanide-free process, nanomaterials, automotive surface engineering and anti-corrosion technology, intelligent painting technology, "three wastes" management, occupational safety and health, and related fields.
