China (Beijing) International Horticultural Exhibition Profile
The China Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition (Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing) is Asia’s most authoritative trade show dedicated to flowers, horticulture, and landscape design. With a distinct international character, strong trade orientation, high level of credibility, and professional focus, it has become a premier global event eagerly attended by industry professionals from both home and abroad. Held alternately in Shanghai and Beijing, the exhibition is organized by the China Flower Association. Backed by an excellent reputation and continuous innovation, it has consistently earned widespread support and acclaim within the industry over the years.
Spanning approximately 40,000 square meters, the China Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition brings together nearly 700 enterprises and institutions from more than 20 countries and regions, including China, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Lithuania, India, North Korea, Thailand, and others. The event attracts over 90,000 visitors, steadily enhancing its international profile and reinforcing its standing as a leading industry brand.
This edition features a dedicated new‑variety showcase, highlighting nearly 300 floral cultivars—including cut flowers, potted plants, and garden flora. Notably, domestically bred varieties account for roughly 30% of potted plants and over 40% of cut flowers, underscoring China’s robust innovation capacity in flower breeding.
In addition, Guilin City in Guangxi, together with the Osmanthus Branch of the China Flower Association, has assembled a delegation of more than thirty enterprises, presenting a diverse array of osmanthus potted plants, osmanthus‑based food products, skincare items, and creative cultural merchandise. Meanwhile, Nanjing County in Fujian showcases its signature national orchids, while Hainan Provincial Forestry Bureau has organized exhibitors to highlight Hainan’s cut‑leaf products and tropical orchids, thereby highlighting the region’s distinctive industrial strengths. Such specialized group exhibitions not only amplify promotional impact but also help forge regional identities and build competitive advantages for local industries.
Among international participants, the Dutch delegation stands out as the largest, comprising 36 exhibitors occupying nearly 1,000 square meters. Their offerings span plant varieties, growing media, greenhouse equipment, and advisory services. Additionally, the German delegation and the IPM Pavilion have drawn companies from Germany, India, North Korea, France, and other nations, injecting fresh international vitality into the event.
Domestically, the largest contingents hail from Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Anhui, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jiangsu, and Hong Kong. Beyond the geographical advantages of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, Shandong and Jiangsu—key producers of ornamental flowers and related materials—send sizable delegations of professionals seeking business opportunities, while Liaoning, Heilongjiang, and Hong Kong are primarily represented by buyers.
As a flagship event for the floriculture and horticulture sectors, the China Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition (Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing) brings together cutting-edge varieties and technologies from around the globe, serving as a vital bridge connecting upstream and downstream resources across the industry chain. It provides attendees with unique opportunities to gain insights into emerging trends, forge strategic partnerships, and refine their technical expertise.
