The Exhibition Value of the Guangzhou Hot Pot Ingredients and Supplies Expo (CRE)
- The largest and most influential annual flagship event in South China’s hot pot ingredients and supplies industry. Co‑organized by the Guangdong Catering Service Industry Association and the Guangdong Group Meal Distribution Industry Association, the Guangzhou Hot Pot Ingredients and Supplies Expo (CRE) has been successfully held for sixteen editions since its inception in 2011. In synergy with the Guangzhou Hotel & Catering Expo and the Guangzhou Seafood and Prepared Food Expo—forming a “three‑exhibition linkage”—it stands as the most authoritative professional trade show for the hot pot ingredients and supplies sector in South China. Leveraging Guangzhou’s status as a culinary capital and the industrial agglomeration advantages of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, the expo is widely recognized within the industry as a barometer of hot pot industry development in South China and a pivotal platform for companies seeking to expand into the southern market.
- A one‑stop sourcing and procurement platform covering the entire industry chain. The expo focuses on supplying best‑selling products across all hot pot consumption scenarios, encompassing hot pot bases and seasonings, beef and mutton, seafood ingredients, meatballs and processed seafood products, frozen foods, hot pot equipment, takeout tableware, and other categories spanning the full industry value chain. At the 16th edition in 2025, the on‑site intent-to‑contract value exceeded RMB 2 billion, while the 17th edition scheduled for 2026 is expected to feature an exhibition area of over 80,000 square meters, bringing together more than 2,000 brand exhibitors and showcasing over 100,000 new and hit products. From specialty bean products, mushroom ingredients, tripe and layered tripe, spring rolls, and dried tofu skin to Chaozhou beef balls and seaweed‑based items, the expo provides hot pot catering businesses with a comprehensive, ready‑to‑implement, end‑to‑end solution.
- Precise matchmaking with core buyers and industry chain resources across South China and nationwide. Drawing on a database of over one million established professional buyers, the expo has firmly established itself as a central one‑stop platform for connecting the catering and commercial sectors in South China. The 16th edition in 2025 attracted more than 160,000 professional buyer visitors, while the 17th edition slated for 2026 is projected to welcome over 150,000 professional buyers. International participation continues to grow year after year, with the proportion of overseas exhibitors significantly increasing compared to the previous edition, drawing deep engagement from buyers in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and beyond, thus forming a two‑way resource loop of domestic trade and international expansion.
- Unique value for Chinese enterprises—serving as a strategic engine from ingredient supply to brand upgrading. The expo brings together leading hot pot ingredient brands such as Muyang Renjia, Chuanye Food, Detai Lingxian Food, Chuanhai Pinyan, Jiufang Food, and many others. As hot pot ingredients remain at the heart of both dine‑in and takeout growth, the expo leverages category segmentation and scenario innovation to help companies precisely capture the essential demand for products that are fast yet uncompromisingly high‑quality. From traditional hot-pot ingredients to ready‑to‑eat meal solutions, and from customized seasonings to intelligent equipment, the event provides enterprises with a strategic platform for transitioning from single‑ingredient supply to end‑to‑end service offerings.
- A Vanguard of Technological Innovation and Industry TrendsAt the exhibition, smart cooking devices—such as stir‑fry robots and intelligent food processors—AI‑powered automated dispensers that match hot and cold dishes, and comprehensive ready‑to‑eat supply‑chain solutions emerged as key highlights. Concurrently, the event hosted dozens of forums, including the 2025 Guangdong New Scenarios in Foodservice Consumption Conference and the Foodservice Supply Chain Summit, where over a hundred industry leaders shared cutting‑edge insights. Exhibitors gained timely access to critical information on hot‑pot industry policies, consumer trends, and technical standards, enabling them to precisely address emerging demand for “small‑portion dishes,” “half‑portion dishes,” and products emphasizing low salt, low fat, and low sugar.
- Guangzhou’s Geographical and Industrial AdvantagesThe exhibition was held in Zone B of the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex, strategically located at the heart of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. Guangzhou is China’s first metropolitan foodservice market to surpass RMB 100 billion in annual revenue, and it uniquely holds both the titles of “Capital of Chinese Cuisine” and “International Capital of Gastronomy.” Leveraging Guangzhou’s status as an international trade hub and a global culinary capital, CRE offers exhibitors a strategic platform to connect with markets across South China and around the world.
