The China Intelligent Industry Summit (CIIS), founded in 2011 and meticulously organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, serves as a core platform for implementing major national strategies such as the “New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan.”

The CIIS consistently adheres to a three-dimensional innovation model—“academic leadership + industrial implementation + urban empowerment”—and operates under a nationwide touring framework of “one city per year.” Rooted deeply in the front lines of industry, it continuously focuses on strategic national priorities such as intelligent manufacturing, smart healthcare, multimodal AI, and embodied intelligence. The 2026 Government Work Report explicitly calls for “deepening and expanding ‘AI Plus,’ accelerating the adoption of next-generation smart terminals and intelligent agents,” while a joint document issued by three national ministries outlines guidelines for the standardized application and innovative development of intelligent agents. These developments mark the official entry of China’s AI sector into a new historical phase centered on application-driven growth, ecosystem co‑creation, and industrial empowerment. Consequently, bridging the “last mile” between original innovation and large-scale deployment, and fostering deep integration between AI and the real economy, have become central challenges for the industry.

As the core engine of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen stands at the forefront of China’s AI industry and serves as a global hub for innovation. Its distinctive development model—characterized by an open government in providing application scenarios, market‑driven direction-setting, and enterprises assuming the primary role in innovation—combined with its nationally leading technology transfer efficiency, well‑established industrial chain support, and diverse commercial use cases, provides the most fertile ground for the practical implementation and sustained growth of AI technologies.

The China Intelligent Industry Summit (CIIS) will convene in Shenzhen under the theme “Leading with Intelligence, Ushering in a New Chapter for Shenzhen’s Industries.” Anchored in Shenzhen’s strategic positioning as a “Global Pioneer City for Artificial Intelligence,” the summit aligns closely with the national “AI Plus” initiative, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as intelligent agents, embodied intelligence, computing–electrical synergy, AI+healthcare, and AI+education.
