Profile

Following the resounding success of the inaugural Global Web3 Developers Conference (GWDC HK) in Hong Kong—where it sparked a technological wave across the Asia-Pacific region and brought together over 2,000 industry leaders—the conference organizer, Web3Labs, has officially announced a major upgrade: the second edition of the Global Web3 Developers Conference (GWDC 2026 Korea) will take place on September 29–30 at the aT Center in Seoul, South Korea. Upholding the “For Builders, By Builders” ethos of the tech community, this year’s event will focus on Asia’s premier technology hub, striving to establish a groundbreaking new paradigm for integrating the global Web3 developer ecosystem with next-generation industries.

According to the organizing committee’s latest projections, the Seoul event will experience a comprehensive expansion and leap in scale. At that time, more than 8,000 attendees, 500 world-leading developers, 100 prominent industry keynote speakers, and 100 exhibiting companies will gather in Seoul to jointly witness the historic convergence of Web3 and artificial intelligence (AI), ushering in a new chapter for Web3 development in Asia.

The Korea leg of the Global Web3 Developers Conference (GWDC 2026 Korea) breaks away from the conventional single-dimensional format of traditional trade shows by reimagining the spatial layout at Seoul’s aT Center, offering comprehensive coverage across four core thematic zones—macro strategy, technical hands-on sessions, geek competitions, and business matchmaking:

Main Stage | Strategic Leadership and Global Dialogue

The main stage serves as the overarching architectural framework and strategic centerpiece of this conference. The event will bring together government officials from Hong Kong, China, and South Korea, decision-makers from global tech giants, and visionary thought leaders in the Web3 space for in-depth discussions. Key topics will center on “policy coordination” and cross-border, multinational collaboration, while rigorously dissecting real-world AI applications and next-generation decentralized infrastructure, thereby setting a new direction for technological innovation in Asia.

Innovation Stage | A Deep Convergence of Vertical Technologies

The parallel forums eschew theoretical discourse, aiming instead to deliver practical, actionable insights. The conference has meticulously curated three core thematic tracks: “Developer Ecosystem,” which explores the evolution of open-source culture and development toolchains; “Web3 and Financial Infrastructure,” decoding new pathways for RWA, DeFi, and cross-border financial innovation; and “AI and Cloud-Native Technologies,” delving into the underlying code behind model training and architectural upgrades. In addition, the event’s grand finale—the GWDC Hackathon Grand Final and Awards Ceremony—will also take place here, featuring a showcase of cutting-edge solutions at its pinnacle.

Innovation Booth Zone | An Immersive Marketplace of Cutting-Edge Technologies

The event features more than 99 themed exhibition booths spanning diverse sectors such as AI, blockchain, SaaS, and developer tools (DevTools). Moving away from the conventional, static booth format, the exhibition area adopts an interactive demo approach to showcase projects’ core strengths. On-site, 30 top-tier KOLs will provide ongoing coverage and engage in frequent cross-platform interactions across global social media channels. Additionally, the exhibition seamlessly integrates high‑impact, visually striking flash‑dance performances by popular Korean girl groups with cutting‑edge technology showcases, creating a highly dynamic and immersive experience that maximizes visitor engagement.

Hackathon Zone | 48-Hour Extreme Programming Challenge

As the flagship component of the event, the hackathon is bringing together over 500 elite tech enthusiasts from China, South Korea, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. Breaking free from the confines of a single ecosystem, this competition has invited five leading public blockchains to simultaneously issue development challenges. The organizing committee has allocated a prize pool exceeding USD 100,000 and secured substantial computing power and resources from world-class cloud service providers, creating the ultimate proving ground that connects top-tier capital, blockchain ecosystems, and brilliant developers.
