The Taipei Game Show (TGS) is the largest gaming expo in Taiwan, China, and serves as a key platform for showcasing and connecting the Chinese-language gaming market. It brings together game developers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and around the world, with a focus on mobile games, console titles, indie games, and VR/AR offerings, making it an important gateway to the Southeast Asian Chinese-speaking market.

First launched as a trial event in 2002, the show has been held independently since 2003 and separated from the Multimedia Expo in 2008. The Taipei Game Show primarily invites relevant media outlets, industry peers, trade associations, and government officials to participate.

As the world’s first major gaming event of each year, it also stands as a vital platform for industry exchange and a barometer of market trends across the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the exhibition featured 399 game companies from 26 countries and regions, showcasing over 500 blockbuster titles and igniting the first wave of global player enthusiasm for the new year!

As a dedicated platform for industry professionals, the exhibition area focuses on fostering business matchmaking, IP licensing, and cross-border collaborations, bringing together independent game studios, developers, publishers, art and sound designers, payment and monetization service providers, and digital marketing agencies.

Visitors to the Taipei Game Show come for different reasons—some seek hands-on demos, others hunt for deals, while still others stop by to photograph cosplayers. Naturally, foot traffic varies significantly between booths, especially during presentations of popular titles.

Taipei Game Show (TGS) tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit. On site, verify entry with your ID card or by scanning the e-ticket QR code.
