The El Alamein International Airshow is Africa’s leading aerospace event. The El Alamein International Airshow is a major initiative by the Egyptian Armed Forces to host a large-scale international exhibition in the military domain. It aims to showcase Egypt’s achievements in the aerospace sector, deepen international industrial collaboration, and help Egypt establish itself as a regional aviation hub, emerging as a rising force in aerospace technology.

This year’s airshow will feature an open-air exhibition area at El Alamein International Airport, displaying the latest models of various aircraft, alongside thrilling aerobatic performances. The event is expected to attract 250 exhibitors from 50 countries, covering all aspects of defense equipment, manned aircraft, unmanned systems, and global defense system technology trends.

For the first time, the Chinese Air Force has brought four types of its main operational platforms—KJ-500 early-warning aircraft, Y-20A tanker aircraft, J-16 fighter jets, and Z-20K helicopters—to participate in this overseas airshow. This marks the inaugural public display of these four aircraft types at an international airshow, as well as the first time that Chinese Air Force combat aircraft have taken part in a foreign international airshow in a multi-platform, systemized manner.
