The Exhibition Value of AgQuip, Australia’s Agricultural Machinery Show

  • Oceania’s Largest and Longest‑Running On‑Site Event for Agricultural Machinery and TechnologyAgQuip was founded in 1973 and is organized by Australian Rural Events. Held annually in August at Gunnedah, New South Wales, it is the largest on‑site agricultural event in Oceania, with 52 successful editions to date. Centered around “on‑site displays plus field demonstrations,” AgQuip distinguishes itself from traditional exhibition‑style shows and is widely recognized within the industry as a leading indicator of agricultural sector development in Australia and Oceania, as well as a key gateway for global agricultural machinery manufacturers seeking access to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
  • A Dual‑Mode Approach Combining Field Demonstrations with Static Displays, Enabling One‑Stop Connectivity Across the Entire Industry ChainAgQuip takes place on a dedicated site spanning over 300 hectares, covering every segment of the agricultural value chain—including tractors, harvesters, planters, crop protection equipment, livestock machinery, irrigation systems, agricultural technologies, spare parts, and agrochemicals. The event features a large dynamic demonstration area where visitors can observe machinery performance in real‑world field conditions, making AgQuip the only agricultural event in Australia that simultaneously offers both static exhibits and full‑scale machine demonstrations. Additional highlights include the Tractor Games, the GRDC Alley dedicated to precision agriculture, and the Local to the Plains zone showcasing regional agricultural products.
  • Precise Access to Core Buyers and Distribution Channels in Australia and OceaniaAs a major agricultural nation with an annual output exceeding AUD 70 billion and a highly mechanized farming system, Australia presents a formidable market for agricultural machinery. The 2025 edition will bring together more than 800 exhibitors, showcasing over 2,500 brands, and attract 44,193 professional visitors—most of whom are farm owners, agricultural contractors, agronomic consultants, and distributors, all key decision‑makers in procurement. Exhibitors often refer to the event as “the annual gathering of Australian farmers.”
  • Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises: A Strategic Engine for Expanding into Oceania’s High‑End Agricultural MarketWith its advanced level of agricultural mechanization and stringent machinery standards, Australia is a critical battleground for global agricultural equipment brands. AgQuip serves as a pivotal platform for Chinese manufacturers to enter the Australian market, connect with local farmers and distributors, and showcase their own branded solutions. In recent years, Chinese participation has steadily grown; in 2025, eight mainland Chinese companies will exhibit, forming an integral part of the international delegation.
  • Participating in this exhibition serves as a strategic platform for Chinese agricultural machinery companies to rapidly establish distributor networks in Australia and gain insights into Australian and New Zealand market regulations and standards.
  • A Cutting-Edge Hub for Technological Innovation and Industry TrendsAt the show, high-horsepower tractors—such as the Case Steiger 785 Quadtrac with 785 hp making its global debut—as well as precision agriculture technologies, autonomous driving systems, smart irrigation solutions, and electric agricultural vehicles were among the highlights. In 2025, the inaugural Tractor Games agricultural machinery competition will bring together global agricultural machinery giants like CNH Industrial and John Deere to showcase their tractors’ comprehensive performance in areas such as precision control and dynamic responsiveness. The Case Steiger 785 Quadtrac, the world’s highest-horsepower tractor at 785 hp, made its global debut at AgQuip, underscoring the event’s pivotal strategic role within the global agricultural machinery industry.
  • Gunnedah’s Geographical Location and Industrial AdvantagesThe event is held at a dedicated venue in Gunnedah, located in the Liverpool Plains—the agricultural heartland of New South Wales—and a key production region for Australia’s staple crops, including grains, cotton, and wool. With a dense concentration of nearby farms, it provides an ideal setting for agricultural machinery manufacturers to engage directly with end-users. The organizer, ACM Rural Events, is one of Australia’s leading agricultural event management agencies, and for the 2026 edition, GWM Australia has been confirmed as the principal sponsor.
