Profile
The China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition—also known as the Zhuhai Airshow (AIR SHOW CHINA)—is the only international aviation and aerospace exhibition in China approved by the Central People’s Government. It is jointly organized by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC I), and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC II). Exhibitors and visitors from around the world can share valuable insights into new products and technologies, engage in extensive business negotiations and technical exchanges, and explore everything from product procurement and solution design to cutting-edge industry discussions.
The China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition—Zhuhai Airshow (AIR SHOW CHINA) will feature 13 exhibition halls, with an indoor exhibition space totaling 120,000 square meters, a 20% increase over the previous edition. The outdoor exhibition area spans approximately 230,000 square meters. For the first time, a “Unmanned Systems Demonstration Zone” has been established, comprising both an “Unmanned Vessel Demonstration Area” and an “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Demonstration Area.” A total of 47 countries and regions will participate, with nearly 800 domestic and international exhibitors. Notably, Russia, France, the United States, and Saudi Arabia will be represented by national pavilions, while globally renowned aerospace companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, Embraer, Safran, and Thales will all be present.
This year’s airshow includes themed zones such as the Low-Altitude Economy Pavilion, the Civil Aviation Industry Zone, the Commercial Aircraft Industry Zone, the Commercial Space Industry Zone, the New Materials and Applications Zone, and the Research-to-Application Transformation Zone. Exhibits cover the full spectrum of land, sea, air, space, electrical, and network domains, with a host of cutting-edge, high-precision products representing the world’s most advanced standards making their debut. In particular, the structure, caliber, and quality of exhibits presented by domestic companies have been further enhanced.
The Chinese Air Force, Army, Navy, and other branches will showcase their most advanced operational equipment. Meanwhile, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the China National Space Administration, along with major state-owned enterprises including AVIC, COMAC, CASC, CASIC, AECC, NORINCO, CSG, CETC, CEIEC, and CSSC, will bring an expanded array of new products, technologies, and achievements to the event. Many exhibits will make their global or regional debuts, offering a comprehensive display of China’s innovative accomplishments in the aerospace and defense sectors.
The Ground Equipment Dynamic Demonstration Zone at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition—Zhuhai Airshow (AIR SHOW CHINA) will continue to refine its scenographic layout. NORINCO and CSG will present a variety of next-generation land-based systems in systematic, intelligent dynamic demonstrations. Together with aerial flight performances, these ground displays will create a spectacular visual experience for attendees.
In addition, this year’s airshow leverages advanced technologies such as AR/VR and AI to deliver enhanced services, including multilingual translation, glasses-free 3D displays, and illuminated navigation systems. Furthermore, the “Cloud Airshow” has been refined to maximize the potential of online platforms for virtual exhibitions and exchanges, facilitating digital business matchmaking and helping to build a truly “digital airshow.”
China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition – Zhuhai Airshow tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit. Review
The 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Zhuhai Airshow) was held in Zhuhai from November 12 to 17, 2024. For the first time, this edition adopted a “one show, three venues” format, featuring three major exhibition areas: the Zhuhai International Airshow Center, the Doumen Lianzhou Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Unmanned Vessels Demonstration Zone, and the Jinfengtai Viewing Area. The indoor exhibition space totaled 120,000 square meters, marking a record-breaking scale.
The event attracted 1,022 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions, including 159 international participants—an increase of 104% compared with the previous edition. Countries such as Russia, France, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Italy participated in the form of national pavilions. Over the six-day period, a total of 247 conferences, forums, and signing ceremonies were held, resulting in cooperation agreements worth approximately RMB 285.6 billion. Additionally, 1,195 aircraft of various models were sold, drawing nearly 590,000 visitors.
Major national defense assets made their debut. The Chinese Air Force showcased its new-generation equipment, including the J-35A and the Hong-19, while the J-20, J-16, Y-20, and other air superiority platforms were presented as part of an integrated combat system. The Chinese Navy also exhibited for the first time, bringing aircraft such as the J-15D, J-15T, and Z-20J. Furthermore, lunar soil samples collected by the Chang’e‑6 mission were publicly displayed for the first time in China. The Aviation Industry Corporation of China unveiled more than 260 exhibits, representing an almost 25% increase over the previous edition, with the J-20S and J-35A—two next-generation stealth fighters—making their joint public debut.
Unmanned systems took center stage. China Shipbuilding’s large unmanned combat vessel, the “Orca,” made its global debut. At the Doumen Lianzhou venue, a comprehensive demonstration of drones and unmanned vessels was staged in both aquatic and aerial formats. XPeng Huitian’s “land-based aircraft carrier”—a flying car—performed its first public flight, securing 2,008 pre-orders and setting a new record for the largest single order in the global flying car market. Meanwhile, United Aircraft’s “Lanthanum Shadow R6000” tiltrotor aircraft garnered a procurement contract worth RMB 1 billion.
Aerial performances were spectacular. The Chinese Air Force’s “August 1st” aerobatic team flew the J-10C, while the “Red Eagle” aerobatic team delivered high‑impact displays. Russia’s “Swifts” aerobatic team returned to the Zhuhai Airshow after an eight-year absence, performing on the Su‑35S. The Su‑57 made its Chinese debut, showcasing advanced maneuvers such as the “falling leaf” and the “cobra.” For the first time, ground‑based dynamic demonstrations featured the “Machine Wolf,” a quadruped robot, highlighting advances in intelligent equipment development.
The exhibition addressed cutting-edge topics such as the low‑altitude economy and commercial spaceflight, with the inaugural Low‑Altitude Economy Pavilion and 247 conference and forum events, including the 2024 Zhuhai Forum. The 16th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition is scheduled to take place in Zhuhai from November 10 to 15, 2026.
