Exhibition Introduction
The Value of Participating in the China Electronics Fair (CEF)
- China’s oldest and most authoritative professional electronics trade show. First held in 1964 and organized by China National Electronics Import & Export Corporation, the fair enjoys key support from the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is widely regarded as the “barometer” of China’s electronics industry. Held twice annually—in spring and autumn—at major cities nationwide, including Shanghai and Shenzhen—the fair provides comprehensive coverage of the entire electronics industry chain, serving as a strategic platform for showcasing cutting-edge technological capabilities, embracing the domestic substitution trend, and connecting regional and national industrial resources. For enterprises, participation offers a gateway to demonstrate robust technological prowess, integrate into the domestic substitution movement, and access industrial networks across the Yangtze River Delta and beyond.
- Seven major exhibition zones present a panoramic view of the entire industry chain, highlighting domestic substitution achievements. The fair features seven core zones: High-End Components, Integrated Circuits, Semiconductor Equipment and Core Components, Electronic Manufacturing Equipment, Special Electronics, Test & Measurement, and Smart+ Solutions. From miniature surface-mount resistors and capacitors to automotive-grade sensors, from RF filters to supercapacitors, and from etching tools to advanced packaging and testing solutions, the fair comprehensively showcases domestic innovation across the upstream materials, core components, and downstream applications, precisely addressing dual industry needs: “self-reliance and controllability” and “high-end upgrading.”
- Access to global buyer networks, fostering an efficient business-matching hub. Drawing on over six decades of industry experience, the fair annually attracts procurement decision-makers from top global brands such as Siemens, ZTE, Panasonic, Samsung, Haier, Midea, BYD, Bosch, and General Electric. Through a “pre-match online + precise offline pairing” model, the fair facilitates deep collaboration between upstream and downstream partners, resulting in numerous letters of intent for cooperation. Exhibitors can efficiently connect with key channel resources and reach high-value buyers with clear purchasing intentions.
- A four-in-one ecosystem integrating exhibitions, conferences, competitions, and awards, fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. Concurrent with the fair, the event hosts over 20 high-profile activities, including the Forum on New Advances in Domestic Semiconductor Equipment, the China IC Unicorn Forum, the Automotive Electronics Industry Chain Summit Forum, and the Forum on Independent Innovation in Special Electronic Components. Renowned academicians, industry leaders, and technical experts engage in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as technological breakthroughs, market trends, and supply-chain security. A dedicated “Electronic Smart Manufacturing Factory Demonstration Line” provides a comprehensive showcase of automated operations—from PCB loading to finished product output—offering enterprises an authoritative platform to demonstrate their innovative strength and secure technological leadership.
- Leveraging Shanghai’s position as a premier industrial hub in the Yangtze River Delta, the fair serves as a central node for innovation-driven development. Shanghai boasts a complete industrial chain, spanning integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging, and smart terminal applications. In 2024, the city’s integrated circuit industry exceeded RMB 390 billion, accounting for 25% of the national total. Backed by national-level industrial clusters such as Zhangjiang Science City and Lingang New Area, along with intellectual support from top universities and research institutes, the fair provides enterprises with a unique platform to deeply link with regional innovation resources and integrate into the broader Yangtze River Delta industrial ecosystem.
