Shanghai International Exhibition on Industrial Textiles and Nonwovens

The 18th China International Exhibition on Industrial Textiles and Nonwovens (CINTE25) was successfully held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from September 3 to 5, 2025. This edition of the exhibition was themed “Innovation Leads, Sustainable Future,” co-organized by the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Industrial Textiles Association, and Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd., and has become the annual highlight of Asia’s industrial textiles sector.

In terms of scale, the exhibition covered an area of 32,000 square meters, bringing together more than 300 exhibitors from China, Belgium, Germany, the United States, and other countries and regions. It attracted nearly 20,000 professional visitors from 74 countries and regions, with international attendees increasing by over 40% compared to the previous year. Exhibits spanned 15 major application areas, including medical and healthcare, geotechnical engineering, safety protection, transportation, environmental protection, energy, agriculture, and more. Professional buyer delegations from over 20 countries and regions—including the United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Morocco, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Yemen, Albania, Argentina, Chile, Rwanda, and others—attended to source products.

This year’s event featured numerous highlights, with innovative achievements and cutting-edge technologies serving as the central attractions. Xiamen Dangsheng unveiled Dawnens® Color, the world’s first in-situ dyed flash‑evaporation nonwoven fabric, which boasts exceptional color fastness and environmental friendliness, exemplifying the industry’s commitment to high-end, functional, and green solutions. Taihe Xincai showcased specialized synthetic fibers for protective applications, while enterprises such as Shaanxi Yuanfeng and Dangsheng Xincai leveraged new material advantages to bolster life‑saving defenses. Shanghai Shenda presented industrial textiles used in automotive engine compartments, roof linings, floor mats, trunks, mudguards, and other components. In the automotive textiles zone, integrally molded hemp‑based car seats meeting lightweighting requirements drew considerable attention.

A rich array of concurrent events created a high‑level platform for industry exchange. During the exhibition, the 13th China International Nonwovens Conference (CINC) was held, opening a new chapter in sustainability and facilitating in-depth discussions on sustainable development within the sector. The Sustainability Forum, under the theme “Technology, Design, and Business Synergy Driving Sustainable Development in Industrial Textiles,” brought together cross‑disciplinary experts to share progress. An AI panel discussion focused on artificial intelligence applications in the textile industry, particularly in automated material inspection. At the CINTE2025 Innovation Product Launch, a total of 15 “CINTE2025 Innovative Products” were unveiled, covering nonwovens, safety protection, transportation, hygiene materials, tarpaulins, industrial specialty fabrics, professional equipment, and chemical auxiliaries. Meanwhile, the Nonwoven Green Development Showcase highlighted sustainable practices such as biodegradability, flushable certification, dual‑carbon initiatives, and green manufacturing facilities.

Specialized zones and cluster exhibits emerged as key highlights of the show. The “14th Five-Year Plan Innovation Achievements in the Industrial Textiles Sector” exhibit solicited 135 entries from over 70 organizations, systematically cataloging industry breakthroughs. Clusters from Jiangsu Funing, Zhejiang Tiantai, Xinjiang Alar, and Foshan Xiqiao all participated, with local brands showcasing innovations in filtration. Tiantai’s ten enterprises displayed distinctive filtering products, while Xinjiang Alar, making its debut as a group, immediately connected with more than ten downstream clients and leading nonwoven manufacturers.

A strong contingent of professional visitors underscored the quality of buyer resources. Fourteen buyer delegations totaling over 250 individuals attended, including well‑known names such as Kimberly‑Clark China, Shanghai Ideal Auto Technology, Li Ning sporting goods, L’Oréal China, Denmark’s Lego System, Germany’s Norafin Industries, Rockline Industries, and Japan’s Toyoshima & Co. Ltd. Overseas professional visitor groups were especially prominent, with nearly 60 delegates traveling from more than twenty countries and regions. Zhou Guanghua, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Nonwovens Association, noted that the exhibition offered a comprehensive range of product categories, covering both upstream and downstream segments of the supply chain.

The exhibition yielded impressive results and received enthusiastic industry feedback. Exhibiting companies generally reported high‑quality professional audiences, clear purchasing intentions, and record‑breaking levels of international participation and business matchmaking. A sales manager from UK-based Dupre Minerals Ltd., attending for the first time, stated that the two‑day event generated over 80 inquiries, primarily from China, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, and other markets. Vietnam Geotextile, also participating for the first time, remarked that the exhibition provided invaluable connections with Chinese and global partners, helping expand its business reach. Attendees agreed that Cinte Techtextil China is not only an excellent platform for brand exposure and commercial networking but also a crucial hub for understanding industry trends and exploring pathways toward intelligent, green transformation in industrial textiles.

The 20th China International Exhibition on Industrial Textiles and Nonwovens (CINTE26) will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from September 1 to 3, 2026. It is expected to continue providing an efficient platform for global exchange and collaboration within the industrial textiles sector.
