China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo – Xiamen Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo

The 67th Autumn National Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo and the China International Pharmaceutical Machinery Expo (CIPM), held in 2025, successfully took place from October 16 to 18 at Qingdao World Expo City. Hosted by the China Pharmaceutical Equipment Industry Association, this edition of the expo focused on “Green Transformation and High-Quality Development,” making it the most significant annual event for technological exchange and business matchmaking in the global pharmaceutical equipment sector.

Exhibition space and exhibitor numbers reached record highs. This year’s event brought together 1,661 pharmaceutical equipment companies from 25 countries and regions, occupying an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters with over 9,100 booths. The show featured eight major thematic zones—herbal medicine machinery, API machinery, formulation machinery, pharmaceutical packaging machinery, testing and laboratory equipment, and more—covering core equipment needs across the entire pharmaceutical value chain. The expo attracted tens of thousands of professional visitors from around the world who came to explore and procure solutions.

International pavilion size hits a new record, with continued deepening of internationalization. The nearly 40,000-square-meter international pavilion hosted over 300 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, drawing record-breaking visitor traffic. Numerous internationally renowned brands competed alongside leading domestic enterprises, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and intelligent solutions spanning the full lifecycle of drug production as well as applications in food and cosmetics. As a central hub connecting domestic and international markets, the expo has increasingly underscored its pivotal role in facilitating technology export and brand globalization for Chinese companies, while also opening doors for advanced international technologies to enter the Chinese market.

A wealth of product launches highlights vibrant innovation. Many industry leaders chose CIPM as the platform for unveiling their latest breakthroughs: Mettler Toledo, Aoxing Group, Xingdeke, among others, staged global debuts; Marcoxini, Shanghai Sansheng, and other firms presented Asian premieres; Imma, Daisen, and others unveiled China-exclusive releases. Hong Kong-based Aoxing Group launched its PFS filling and inspection integrated solution, combining advanced optical imaging, AI deep-learning algorithms, and time-tested visual inspection techniques; Xingdeke introduced its latest-generation vial sealing machine, significantly reducing contamination risks and enhancing sterile assurance. Xinhua Medical showcased cutting-edge innovations across multiple domains—including information technology, biopharmaceuticals, and injectable formulations—presenting end-to-end solutions covering R&D, manufacturing, and management, which became a major highlight of the expo.

Exhibitor lineup demonstrates both leadership and diversity. Leading domestic pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers such as Chutian, Dongfulong, and Xinhua Medical were all present; internationally acclaimed brands like Körber, Fette, and Xingdeke also exhibited their latest technologies. Xinhua Medical stood out with its comprehensive end-to-end solutions spanning R&D, production, and management, fully demonstrating the strength of “Xinhua Wisdom.” Jiangsu Huada showcased PLD-type bag‑unloading centrifuges and PQFB clean‑type top‑discharge centrifuges, highlighting efficient, hygienic centrifugal separation technologies. Wuxi Guanya displayed temperature‑control solutions including high‑and low‑temperature integrated units, TCU temperature‑control modules, and ultra‑low‑temperature freezers, becoming a focal point thanks to their wide operating ranges and precise control capabilities.

A rich array of concurrent forums and networking events. Nearly one hundred specialized forums and technical exchange sessions were held throughout the duration of the expo. On the opening day, the “Seminar on New Trends in Biopharmaceutical Processes and Equipment” drew widespread attention, bringing together experts from Meiji Bio, AJE BioTech, Bibo Bio, and more than ten upstream equipment manufacturers to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as novel peptide synthesis processes and advanced sealing and detection technologies for biopharmaceuticals. The “Innovation-Driven, Equipment-Breakthrough: Forum on Cost Reduction and Efficiency Enhancement in China’s Pharmaceutical Industry” invited leading industry specialists to share practical insights on continuous-flow production, domestic substitution, and cost-efficiency strategies. Meanwhile, the Second CIPM Conference on Synthetic Biology and Biomanufacturing attracted over 1,000 professionals from the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetics sectors.
