The China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), first held in 1979, takes place twice annually—spring and autumn—and comprises both an exhibition and a series of forums. The 92nd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) was successfully held from September 26 to 29, 2025, at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. With the theme “Health·Innovation·Sharing—Co‑Creating a New Global Blueprint for Healthcare,” this edition marked the fair’s inaugural presence in Guangzhou. Leveraging the Greater Bay Area’s industrial strengths, the event spanned nearly 160,000 square meters, featuring 28 major thematic exhibition zones. Nearly 3,000 companies from close to 20 countries and regions showcased over 10,000 new products, attracting more than 120,000 professional visitors.
“AI+” and Intelligent Solutions as Core Highlights Artificial intelligence has been seamlessly integrated across the entire value chain, from medical imaging diagnostics to smart rehabilitation. HeYu Health unveiled its “Super Brain,” an AI large‑model‑driven system, while Zhiruitong Technology presented a “dual‑heterogeneous AI computing architecture.” Brain–computer interface technologies also drew significant attention, with Xiangyu Medical showcasing a “brain‑controlled active‑passive upper‑and‑lower‑limb rehabilitation system,” and Shanghai Shaonao Sensing Technology unveiling a comprehensive “EEG acquisition + brain‑control interaction” solution.
Bay Area Companies’ Cutting‑Edge Technologies Gain Wider Recognition Over 700 enterprises from Guangdong participated, with innovations such as Guangzhou’s gait‑assisting exoskeleton rehabilitation robot, Shenzhen’s AI‑powered health‑care platform, Foshan’s mobility‑assisting exoskeleton, Zhongshan’s embodied‑intelligence wheelchair robot, and Zhuhai’s minimally invasive surgical instruments all on display, highlighting the Greater Bay Area’s collaborative innovation prowess.
Significant Enhancement in Internationalization The fair attracted buyers from more than 130 countries and regions. Organizers introduced the “WeMatch” one‑on‑one precision matchmaking program, receiving procurement inquiries from Germany, Bangladesh, Israel, and other nations, covering areas such as medical consumables, imaging equipment, and endoscopes, with order values ranging from tens of thousands to tens of millions of dollars. Notably, the share of Southeast Asian buyers increased substantially.
Diverse Forums and Special Events More than 60 concurrent events were held, including the inaugural Health Promotion Conference and the High‑Quality Development Forum for Public Hospitals, during which the “White Paper on Innovation in China’s Medical Device Industry” was released. A newly established “Healthy Living Carnival” offered immersive health‑consumption experiences, while the “Black Tech Incubator” showcased cutting‑edge innovations.
