The Exhibition Value of the Guangzhou Senior Expo
- The first professional exhibition in the elderly care and health sector in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area to achieve international UFI certification. As one of the specialized exhibitions under the Guangzhou Fair hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government, this event has been held for nine consecutive editions, establishing itself as a highly influential brand gathering in China’s elderly care and health industry. For three years running, it has been included in the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce’s “Guangdong Trade Nationwide” program of specialized exhibitions, and has received the “Outstanding Brand Exhibition” and “Top Ten Most Promising Exhibitions in China” awards six times in a row. Organized by the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and coordinated by authoritative bodies such as the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau and the Guangzhou Cooperation Office, the expo collaborates with more than 20 industry associations, offering an irreplaceable platform that leverages its prestige, strong industry clustering effects, and access to policy resources—enabling enterprises to capture the trillion‑yuan silver economy market and set industry benchmarks.
- An immersive “1+7” full‑chain experience, showcasing eight major thematic zones in panoramic detail. Adopting a “1+7” format, the expo covers the entire silver economy value chain. At its core, the “Smart Elderly Care Zone” highlights cutting‑edge innovations such as AI‑driven solutions, digital “trendy” elderly care products, rehabilitation games, and smart home technologies. Meanwhile, seven other thematic zones—covering elderly services, senior‑focused finance, elder‑oriented cultural and tourism offerings, age‑friendly home renovations, assistive devices, senior‑related consumer goods, and anti‑aging solutions—provide a comprehensive view of the industry ecosystem. From Japanese caregiving robots and exoskeletons to brain‑computer interfaces, from star‑rated elderly care facilities to diversified financial product portfolios, and from age‑adapted home modifications to medical‑wellness‑travel integration, the expo presents end‑to‑end innovation across the silver economy—from “hardcore technology” to “quality lifestyle.”
- A global buyer network, forging an international hub for business matchmaking. The expo brings together civil affairs departments from provinces and municipalities nationwide, as well as international city delegations, creating a cross‑regional, cross‑border industrial collaboration network. The Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau has spearheaded three key initiatives to support businesses: an exclusive subsidy program for age‑friendly products, government tenders for age‑adapted home renovation projects, and centralized procurement lists for elderly care institutions—ensuring seamless resource alignment. In 2025, the expo’s “Renovation” campaign for home adaptation sparked a consumption boom, generating RMB 12 million in sales over the three‑day event.
- Direct policy benefits and over 50 authoritative forums driving industry direction. Under the national “14th Five-Year Plan,” the elderly care sector is positioned at the strategic intersection of social welfare and economic growth, with a future population of 400 million seniors expected to fuel a trillion‑yuan consumer market. During the expo, more than 50 investment promotion conferences and themed events will be held, featuring leading national experts and industry leaders who will provide in‑depth analysis of policy implications and market trends, addressing both the core challenges and emerging opportunities facing the sector. Through multi‑dimensional empowerment—including strategic recalibration, resource expansion, and capability enhancement—the expo helps brands chart pathways to broader market reach. Concurrent high‑profile events, such as the International Conference on Silver Economy Development and Cooperation, the Elderly Care Home Directors’ Forum, and the Conference on Technology‑Driven Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities, further strengthen the expo’s role as a premier think tank, enabling enterprises to stay attuned to policy shifts and industry dynamics.

Review
From August 22 to 24, 2025, the 9th China (Guangzhou) International Senior‑Care Industry Expo was successfully held in Area B of the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. With the theme “Silver Economy: New Tracks, New Technologies, New Consumption,” the event spanned 50,000 square meters, attracting nearly 350 exhibitors from home and abroad. Over the three‑day exhibition, it generated RMB 12 million in sales, injecting strong momentum into Guangzhou’s efforts to become a national hub for the silver economy.
Optimized and Upgraded Exhibition Layout: Eight Thematic Sections Present a Comprehensive Overview. The expo adopted a “1+7” format, featuring a core “Smart Elderly Care Zone” alongside seven specialized thematic zones covering elderly care services, senior‑focused finance, age‑friendly cultural tourism, age‑adapted renovation, rehabilitation aids, senior products, and anti‑aging solutions. The smart robotics section within the Smart Elderly Care Zone drew particular attention, with cutting‑edge innovations such as mind‑body wellness robots, intelligent exoskeletons for mobility assistance, and companion robots for health and well‑being captivating visitors eager to experience them firsthand. Angbao Electronics’ smart companion robot supports Cantonese and multiple dialects, and can even replicate a child’s voice, becoming a “cyber‑relative” for seniors at home.
Strong Exhibitor Lineup, with the Baiyun Delegation Making Its Debut. Several local elderly‑care institutions and enterprises from Baiyun District—including Jiuyuan YinHai, Zhongjiangfu, Laolin Furniture, and Bo’aiyuan Nursing Home—formed the “Baiyun Delegation,” showcasing practical applications of smart elderly care. Jiuyuan YinHai announced that its smart elderly‑care service platform, developed for Baiyun District, has reached preliminary strategic cooperation agreements with eight government agencies and state‑owned enterprises, established collaborative ties with 15 elderly‑care institutions, and attracted interest from over 80 potential residents. Meanwhile, Foshan AiYikang Health, a brand originating in Taiwan with nearly four decades of experience in the elderly‑care sector, emerged as a crowd favorite, with its clinically‑developed “black‑tech” assistive devices drawing widespread attention and earning two prestigious industry awards: the 2025 Innovation Brand Award and the 2025 Age‑Friendly Renovation Brand Award.
Abundant Achievements in the Silver Economy, Financial Cooperation Reaches New Heights. At the opening ceremony, the Guangzhou Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau signed strategic cooperation agreements with 11 leading banks operating in Guangzhou, jointly launching the “Silver Economy Special Credit Program.” The initiative will provide an initial dedicated credit line exceeding RMB 55 billion, injecting robust impetus into the integration of the silver economy and financial services. According to statistics, Guangzhou now boasts more than 18,000 enterprises engaged in the silver economy, with an industrial scale surpassing RMB 300 billion. Additionally, the Guangzhou Silver Economy Laboratory was inaugurated, and the Guangzhou Silver Economy Innovation Consortium was officially launched, with recruitment activities simultaneously announced.
Enthusiastic Industry Response, Remarkable Exhibition Outcomes. Exhibitor Mr. Wang remarked that this year’s expo underscored how the silver economy has become a new growth driver across numerous industries, with an increasing number of leading companies embracing this trend and bolstering confidence among small and medium‑sized enterprises. Tao Jianting, deputy director of the Guangzhou Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, praised the expo’s innovative exhibition designs—ranging from immersive smart elderly‑care technology experiences to traditional wellness‑culture displays—highlighting how technological innovation has transformed from mere exhibits into powerful collaboration platforms, embodying the expo’s core value of empowering the industry. The next edition of the expo is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, once again at Area B of the Canton Fair Complex, under the theme “Ten Years of Cherishing Time, Enjoying a Future of Aging,” with an expanded scale of 50,000 square meters and over 1,000 exhibiting brands.
