Taizhou Electric Vehicle, Motorcycle & Parts Exhibition

The 2025 Taizhou Electric Vehicle, Motorcycle & Parts Exhibition (EMP) was successfully held in April at the Taizhou International Expo Center. Co-hosted by the Taizhou Electric Vehicle Industry Association and the Taizhou Motorcycle Industry Association, the event was themed “Smart Manufacturing in Taizhou—Connecting the World,” making it the most significant annual trade fair for China’s electric vehicle and motorcycle components sector. Concurrent with the exhibition, a series of supporting activities took place, including the China Electric Vehicle Industry Development Summit Forum, the Motorcycle Technology Innovation Seminar, and a procurement matchmaking session for OEMs.

With an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, the show brought together over 350 exhibiting companies, spanning multiple halls within the Taizhou International Expo Center. The exhibitor lineup featured leading local component manufacturers such as Jinyuxing Motor, Quanshun Motor, Tianneng Battery, and Chaowei Battery, alongside prominent vehicle brands like Yadea, Aima, Tailg, and Lvyuan. Over the three-day event, more than 20,000 professional visitors were welcomed, with core buyers—including dealers, repair shop operators, and OEM procurement representatives—from across China accounting for over 70% of attendees.

The motor and controller pavilion emerged as the highlight of this year’s show. Jinyuxing Motor showcased its new-generation “High-Efficiency Permanent Magnet Motor” series, offering superior efficiency and reduced noise, already integrated into several top-tier vehicle platforms. Quanshun Motor presented its “High-Power Hub Motor” and “Mid-Drive Motor” lines, tailored for electric motorcycles and high-speed e‑motorcycles. Bosch Motor exhibited its “eBike Motor System,” while Bafang Electric highlighted its “Mid-Drive System” and “Hub Motor” offerings. Many exhibitors emphasized that motors are the cornerstone of electric vehicles, with high efficiency, low noise, and long service life being key priorities for end-users.

The battery and charger pavilion also drew strong interest. Tianneng Battery unveiled its “Long-Distance Champion” and “True Black Gold” battery series, while Chaowei Battery showcased its “Superconducting” and “Silver Alloy” lines. Xingheng Power introduced its “Lithium Battery” series, emphasizing lightweight design and extended cycle life. EVE Energy displayed its “Cylindrical Battery” and “Soft-Pack Battery” products, and CATL highlighted its “Battery-Swapping Solutions.” Several buyers noted that replacing lead‑acid batteries with lithium‑ion technology is an industry trend, with lightweight construction and extended range remaining top consumer demands.

The electric vehicle complete‑vehicle pavilion garnered significant attention. Yadea exhibited its “Guanneng” series and the premium “VFLY” line, Aima showcased its “Engine MAX” series, Tailg focused on its “Superpower” lineup, and Lvyuan demonstrated its “Liquid-Cooled Motor” technology along with the “S30” model. Xinri presented its “Super‑Power Run” series. Many vehicle manufacturers pointed out that, following the implementation of the new national standards, industry concentration has increased, with leading brands enjoying clear advantages, making product differentiation a critical factor in competition.

The OEM procurement matchmaking session yielded substantial results. Held on the second day of the exhibition, the event invited purchasing executives from Yadea, Aima, Tailg, Lvyuan, Xinri, Xiaodao, and other major vehicle manufacturers to engage in one‑on‑one discussions with local component suppliers. Procurement needs spanned multiple categories, including motors, batteries, controllers, shock absorbers, brakes, and lighting systems. Preliminary estimates indicate that the session resulted in intended purchase commitments exceeding RMB 300 million. An executive from Yadea remarked, “Taizhou is a vital production base for electric vehicle components in China, and EMP serves as our most important annual sourcing platform.”

The China Electric Vehicle Industry Development Summit Forum brought together industry leaders. With the theme “New National Standards—New Opportunities,” the forum featured keynote speeches by the Vice Chairman of the China Bicycle Association, the President of the Zhejiang Electric Vehicle Industry Association, the Vice President of Yadea Technology Group, and the Marketing Director of Tianneng Battery, among others. Discussions delved into topics such as “Post‑Standard Market Dynamics,” “The Impact of Lithium‑Ion Adoption on the Industry,” and “Opportunities and Challenges for Global Expansion of Electric Vehicles.” Experts underscored that China’s electric vehicle sector is transitioning from “price‑driven competition” to “value‑oriented competition,” with technological innovation and brand building emerging as pivotal drivers of corporate growth.

As the new national standards for electric vehicles are fully implemented and consumer upgrading continues to gain momentum, the outlook for China’s electric vehicle and motorcycle components industries remains exceptionally promising. As the flagship event of Taizhou—a key industrial hub—the EMP has firmly established itself as a strategic platform for companies to unveil new products, connect with customers, gain market insights, and expand their reach.
