Busan Gaming / Animation Expo Details

The G-STAR, Korea’s Busan International Game Show, ranks among the world’s four major gaming exhibitions, serving both the international B2B trade sector and the B2C market. Covering the full spectrum of gaming genres—including PC, mobile, arcade, board & card games, and console titles—the show brings together leading companies such as WEMADE to showcase their latest releases, while also hosting the KGC Industry Summit, esports competitions, and immersive player‑engagement experiences. Its core value lies in linking Korea’s cultural‑creative industries—accounting for 70% of the nation’s export revenue—and, through multilingual marketing and overseas business development, establishing a specialized trade platform that bridges Asian and global gaming markets.

The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures including Lee Seong-kwon, Vice Mayor for Economic Affairs of Busan Metropolitan City; Yoon Yang-soo, Director of the Cultural Content Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Cho Hyun-rae, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA); Koo Hyun-bum, COO of NCSOFT; and Kwon Young-sik, CEO of Netmarble.

The Korean gaming industry accounts for 70% of the country's cultural content exports, generating significant upstream and downstream ripple effects across the digital sector. The Korean government will provide robust support to the gaming industry to enhance its international competitiveness and lead the global market.

At G-STAR, exhibitors will unveil new titles across various platforms during both the B2C and B2B segments. WEMADE, the main sponsor for two consecutive years, will showcase two new games centered around its blockchain gaming platform, "WEMIX PLAY". A wide array of premium titles from other game developers will also be on display, offering numerous highlights.

Additionally, the event will feature enhanced interactive programs such as the Korea Game Conference (KGC) with industry leaders, gaming tournaments, and cosplay events, making it an enjoyable experience for gamers worldwide.

G-STAR is expanding its online campaigns tailored to individual countries while strengthening promotional efforts in previously under-represented regions by providing localized marketing materials. Furthermore, through active communication with key decision-makers across various countries and enterprises, the exhibition actively encourages overseas companies to participate.

G-STAR (Korea Game Show) tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.
