The 22nd Guangzhou International Building Electrical Technology Exhibition (GEBT 2025) was successfully held from June 9 to 12 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Organized by Messe Frankfurt, the event took place concurrently with the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), with “Low‑Carbon Smart Buildings,” “Whole‑Home Intelligence,” and “Smart Power Supply and Distribution” as its core themes.

Exhibition Area and Exhibitor Numbers Reach New Highs. Held alongside GILE, the two exhibitions brought together 3,188 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, occupying a total exhibition space of 250,000 square meters. GEBT spanned Halls 9.2, 12.2, and 13.2 in Zone B, featuring several thematic joint zones, including the KNX Zone, the Matter Zone, and, for the first time, the Low‑Carbon Smart Buildings and Energy Management Zone. These areas comprehensively showcased cutting‑edge products and solutions across low‑carbon smart buildings, electrical and building automation, whole‑home intelligence, smart power supply and distribution, smart hotels, and intelligent audio‑visual systems. Over the four days, the event attracted 211,173 professional visitors from home and abroad, representing 151 countries and regions.

Exhibitor Portfolio Shows Leading‑Edge and International Characteristics. Internationally, renowned brands such as Philips, ABB, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Legrand, KNX, and BONCHI Electronics were all present. Domestically, industry leaders HDL Hedong Electronics, GVS Vision, Tuya Smart, Yingqu Technology, Lilin Technology, and Bolian Intelligence showcased their latest offerings. Shanghai Leiangyun Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. exhibited a series of voice‑activated smart central control panels with enhanced customization features, targeting high‑end real estate developers and five‑star hotel operators. With more overseas clients than in previous years, the company quickly entered into discussions for potential collaborations. Guangzhou Hedong Technology Co., Ltd., which has participated in GEBT for over a decade, expanded beyond its traditional three pillars—whole‑home intelligence, smart lighting, and smart hotels—to include a smart health‑care segment, generating numerous new business opportunities and orders. The proportion of international customers has risen significantly, primarily from Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Qingdao Dongruan Carrier Intelligent Electronics Co., Ltd., focusing on PLC communication technology and actively exploring AI applications, dispatched an additional foreign‑trade team this year to engage with overseas clients. Mr. Miebi Sikoki, Technical Director of Indonesia’s Digital Nativ, remarked that, as a first-time attendee of GEBT, he was deeply impressed by both the scale and the quality of the exhibits. Meanwhile, Mr. Tuck Leong, founder of Malaysia’s Tuckaa Studio, stated that he had already identified several promising products and was actively negotiating cooperation details with suppliers.

A Rich Array of Concurrent Forum Activities. The exhibition hosted 17 specialized forums and workshops, where numerous experts and representatives from leading companies delved into pressing industry topics. Highlights included discussions on low‑carbon smart building technologies, intelligent integration, AI applications, smart spaces, and photovoltaic‑storage‑direct‑flexible systems. This year, the OffiSmart Smart Office Forum made its debut in Guangzhou, successfully establishing a cross‑industry, end‑to‑end value chain platform that effectively catalyzed new momentum for sectoral growth. In addition, the exhibition innovatively launched the “Short‑Video Influencer Exploration” initiative, inviting a star‑studded group of 23 vertical‑domain influencers—collectively boasting over 700,000 followers—to explore the exhibition firsthand with professional insight, authentic experiences, and robust content creation skills, thereby opening a “virtual exhibition‑visiting” window for audiences unable to attend in person.

Strong Response from Exhibitors and the Industry. Dr. Wang Junfeng, Executive President of Shanghai Leiangyun Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. for China, expressed great satisfaction with the outcomes of this participation and looks forward to meeting even more global partners at next year’s event.

Mr. Zhong Zhihua, General Manager of the Domestic Sales Department at Guangzhou Hedong Technology Co., Ltd., stated that this year’s exhibition has seen a significant increase in the proportion of international visitors, bringing numerous new business opportunities and orders to Hedong. Mr. Chen Kai, Director of the Planning Department at Qingdao Dongsoft Carrier Intelligent Electronics Co., Ltd., remarked that the results of this participation have been highly satisfactory. Attendees agreed that GEBT, as the most influential specialized trade show in Asia for building electrical systems, electrical engineering, and smart home technologies, has become a strategic platform for companies to showcase their products, connect with customers, gain insights into industry trends, and expand into global markets.
