Profile
The Helsinki Book Fair is the most important annual forum for literature enthusiasts and publishing professionals, and has become one of Finland's most prestigious large-scale cultural events.
The Helsinki Book Fair is a nationally significant cultural forum that brings together authors, politicians, artists, and experts to discuss the key phenomena of our time. Freedom of speech, tolerance, and respect for human rights are among the fair's core values. (Copyright © JZhan. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.)
Finland boasts a highly developed education system, featuring a nine-year compulsory free education program. With over 4,300 educational institutions and more than 1.9 million students (including adult and part-time education), the country is home to renowned universities such as the University of Helsinki, Aalto University, and the University of Tampere. Finland has 840 libraries nationwide, with per capita borrowing and publication rates ranking among the highest globally. As a nation that highly values sports, athletic participation is a cherished Finnish tradition.
In Finland, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish Sports Federation, and several national sports associations jointly conduct a large-scale "National Survey on Physical Activity among Finnish Adults" every four years. The survey aims to understand Finns' leisure-time sports participation, as well as the demand for and implementation of sports services. Based on the feedback, measures are adjusted to promote public sports activities and enhance national physical fitness. The Helsinki Book Fair serves as one of the premier trade platforms for Chinese publishing enterprises seeking to enter the European market.
Helsinki Book Fair tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.
The 2026 Helsinki Book Fair is expected to feature 500+ exhibiting companies. To obtain the full exhibitor directory (including booth numbers and contact details), please visit the official exhibition website or contact Jufair.
