Hong Kong Medical Devices Exhibition

The Hong Kong Medical Devices Exhibition 2025 was successfully held from May 28 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, this year’s event was themed “Medical Innovation · Healthy Future” and stood as the most significant annual trade fair for the medical devices industry in the Asia-Pacific region. Concurrent with the exhibition, a series of related activities took place, including the Asia Healthcare Summit, Hospital Management Seminars, and International Buyer–Seller Matchmaking Sessions.

With an exhibition space spanning 25,000 square meters, the show brought together over 500 exhibiting companies from more than 20 countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Israel, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, and others. The exhibitor lineup featured global giants such as Johnson & Johnson Medical, Medtronic, Siemens Healthineers, Philips Healthcare, and GE Healthcare, alongside leading Chinese mainland enterprises like Mindray, United Imaging Healthcare, Yuwell Medical, and Weigao Group. Over the three-day event, the exhibition welcomed more than 28,000 professional visitors from over 80 countries and regions worldwide, with international buyers accounting for over 40% of attendees.

The Mainland China Pavilion emerged as the highlight of this edition. Mindray showcased its “RuiZhiLian” hospital-wide monitoring solution and the “RuiYing Cloud” remote ultrasound platform, demonstrating a comprehensive product portfolio spanning diagnostics to treatment. United Imaging Healthcare presented its full range of high-end medical imaging equipment, including PET-CT, MRI, and CT scanners, many of which represent internationally advanced technological standards. Yuwell Medical exhibited its “Home Healthcare Management Platform,” covering household devices such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators. Meanwhile, Weigao Group highlighted its orthopedic implants and blood purification product lines. According to statistics from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, on-site deal commitments by Mainland Chinese exhibitors exceeded US$200 million.

The Medical Technology and Smart Healthcare zones drew exceptional attention. Ping An Good Doctor unveiled its “AI-Assisted Diagnostic System,” offering intelligent consultation and triage for common conditions. AliHealth showcased its “Code for Peace of Mind” pharmaceutical traceability platform and its “Internet Hospital” solutions. WeDoctor emphasized its “Digital Health Community” model, integrating online and offline healthcare resources. Several companies noted that, driven by the deep integration of 5G, AI, big data, and other technologies into clinical settings, the smart healthcare market is entering a phase of rapid growth.

Rehabilitation and Elderly Care zones garnered significant interest. Xiangyu Medical displayed its “Intelligent Rehabilitation Robots” and a suite of physical therapy devices, already deployed in rehabilitation departments of numerous top-tier hospitals across China. Qianjing Rehabilitation introduced its “Pediatric Rehabilitation Training System” and “Elderly Mobility Assistance Robots.” Many exhibitors pointed out that, amid the accelerating global aging trend, demand for rehabilitation care and geriatric healthcare products continues to grow, representing a key growth driver for the medical device industry.

International Buyer–Seller Matchmaking Sessions yielded substantial results. Held on the second day of the exhibition, these sessions invited over 100 buyers from more than 30 countries and regions—including the United States, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and others—to engage in one-on-one negotiations with exhibiting companies. Procurement needs spanned imaging equipment, patient monitoring devices, home healthcare products, rehabilitation supplies, laboratory reagents, and other categories. Preliminary estimates indicate that on-site purchase commitments exceeded US$300 million.

The Asia Healthcare Summit brought together global expertise. With the theme “Medical Innovation and Sustainable Development,” the summit featured keynote speeches by the Chairman of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, representatives from the World Health Organization, CEOs of international medical technology firms, and medical experts from Mainland China. Discussions centered on topics such as “Transformations in Healthcare Systems Post-Pandemic,” “Innovation and Regulation in Medical Technology,” and “Opportunities and Challenges in Cross-Border Healthcare Cooperation.” Experts underscored that the Asian healthcare industry is experiencing rapid growth, with medical technological innovation and cross-border collaboration serving as critical drivers of future progress.

As global demand for healthcare continues to rise and medical technology advances rapidly, the medical device industry enjoys broad market prospects. As the most influential specialized medical trade show in the Asia-Pacific region, the Hong Kong Medical Devices Exhibition has become a strategic platform for companies to unveil new products, connect with customers, gain insights into emerging trends, and expand their global footprint. The next edition of the Hong Kong Medical Devices Exhibition is scheduled to take place in May 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
