展会简介
Exhibitor Value of the Hong Kong Spring Lighting Fair
- The Hong Kong Lighting Fair is one of Asia’s largest and most influential events in the lighting industry, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Since its inception in 1999, it has been successfully held for sixteen editions, and together with the concurrent Smart Lighting Expo, it forms a core platform for innovation and development in the global lighting sector. In 2025, the two exhibitions will be themed “Smart Lighting for a Green Future,” bringing together approximately 1,000 exhibitors and attracting 15,000 professional buyers from 108 countries and regions. Notably, international buyers from emerging markets such as Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, Argentina, and Colombia have all shown growth, underscoring the fair’s strong international appeal.
- The core value of exhibiting lies in its unparalleled international platform and its unique ability to connect exhibitors with a global network of buyers. The fair’s professional buyer base includes lighting product importers, distributors, engineering firms, designers, and major retail purchasers. Brazil’s Azizi Company has been sourcing through the fair since 2012 and, at this edition, has identified three suppliers for street‑lighting projects, with orders totaling approximately US$1.2 million. Meanwhile, UK brand Limi, participating for the first time, established connections with over 200 buyers from Hong Kong, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, projecting sales of between US$40 million and US$50 million.
- The fair provides a one‑stop commercial platform that spans the entire lighting value chain. Exhibits cover all categories, including smart lighting technologies, human‑centric lighting, sustainable lighting solutions, residential lighting, commercial lighting, decorative lighting, professional lighting, and lighting accessories. The flagship “Hall of Renowned Lamps” showcases around 180 top brands, highlighting cutting‑edge lighting products and innovations. This year also introduces, for the first time, a “Green Innovation” zone, where 15 exhibitors present eco‑friendly, intelligent lighting solutions. The Smart Lighting Expo features pavilions representing key lighting industrial hubs in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, including the Shenzhen delegation, the Zhongshan delegation, and the Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association, which presents an “Intelligent Ecosystem and IoT Supply Chain Showcase.”
- The fair aligns with three major industry trends—AI empowerment, green and low‑carbon development, and human‑centric lighting—establishing a high‑tech hub that deeply integrates industry, academia, research, and application. AI‑ and IoT‑driven smart lighting products are taking center stage. Shenzhen Jinliuming Optoelectronics showcases its Caimeta AIoT smart lighting solution, featuring lights that can adapt to their surroundings like a chameleon. Concurrently, the “Asia Lighting Conference” explores ESG initiatives and sustainable lighting strategies, with UK firm William Sugg & Co presenting case studies on heritage revitalization. The “Smart Lighting Solutions Forum” brings together industry leaders—including Xiaomi’s IoT Platform Division and the Zhaga Consortium—to discuss human‑centric lighting and smart‑scene applications.
- For Chinese enterprises, the fair serves as a strategic gateway to expand into global markets, connect with international resources, and showcase innovative capabilities. As an international trade hub, Hong Kong paves the way for domestic brands to enter overseas markets. Hong Kong‑based Siki, specializing in functional LED lighting, has successfully expanded into Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia through annual participation, with projected sales of US$500,000 to US$1 million this year. The fair adopts an “Exhibition+” hybrid online‑offline model, with the “BusinessMatch” smart matchmaking platform remaining accessible after the event to support year‑round business connections.
